Jadi bayi itu lebih nyaman bila ditepuk-tepuk bokong-nya ternyata ada alasan ilmiahnya.

Nah sebenarnya yang bikin bayi nyaman itu BUKAN tepukan pada bokongya. Tapi keteraturan dan ritme irama jantung yang sudah familiar selama 9 bulan dirasakan di rahim.

Selain itu pada akhir kehamilan, 95% bayi posisi itu kepalanya di bawah, sehingga bokong berada di area atas perut ibu, yang secara anatomis lebih dekat dengan jantung.

Kalian perhatiin juga deh di video MRI ini, janinnya kelihatan bergerak mengikuti irama jantung ibu.

Penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa suara detak jantung orang dewasa dapat menenangkan bayi baru lahir. Selain itu vayi yang mendengar rekaman jantung cenderung menangis lebih jarang dan tidur lebih nyenyak.

Penelitian lain menunjukkan stimulasi ritmis yang berirama pada bayi dapat membantu untuk menenangkan. Alasannya adalah karena stimulasi tersebut meniru sensasi di rahim yang dirasakan oleh bayi antara lain gerakan ibu berjalan dan getaran detak jantung yang konstan menenangkan sistem saraf bayi.
