When he died eight days ago, his face was everywhere. Every platform carried his photo. Everyone had something to say. The timelines were heavy with grief. For two days, it felt as though the whole country paused.
But eight days later, the noise has faded. His name is no longer on peopleโs lips. His image has been swept aside like dust in harmattan wind. Life has continued, as it always does. Only his family still sits with the real weight of it. Only they feel the ache that does not trend and does not expire.
Are we meant to mourn forever? But there is something sobering about how quickly the world moves on when a person dies. It reminds you that applause is brief, attention is fleeting, and the crowd does not stay long.
So laugh while your lungs are strong enough to carry it. Cry when you must. Love deeply and allow yourself to be loved in return. Travel if you can. Eat good food. Sit with friends and merry. Forgive quickly. Carry no hatred in your chest; it is too heavy for such a short journey.
Do that thing you have been postponing. Stop telling yourself โone day.โ Help someone. Share what you have. Give, even if it is small.
All we truly have is now. The present hour. Make every second, minute, and hour count. Live your best life.

At just 17, #Shami, a student at Kagarama Secondary School, founded the Girls Spark Fund to help girls in her Rwandan community return to school.
Moved by a 12-year-old who dropped out due to financial hardship, she used her own savings to pay the girlโs school fees and buy supplies.
Her initiative now unites girls to promote financial empowerment and community impact. โWe may not choose how weโre born,โ she says, โbut we can shape our future.โ

Every now and then, it really hits. You sit back and realize that what this man has done is beyond normal. Taking a country that was divided to its core, dirt poor, landlocked, written off by the world. Carrying a history sooo heavy most would have crumbled under it, and turning it into something no one thought possible. A country that makes you dream, makes you proud, and respected. Then you realize, being a small nation never meant being a small people. Protect this man at all costs!
Can we please stop comparing the lion to the tiger? A tiger is stronger, is heavier, is faster and more brutal than lions.
The lion is a fraudulent creature who paid influencers to call it โking of the jungleโ. This overhyped wig-wearing fraud does NOT even live in the jungle.
