Dear @NuhuRibadu@OfficialDSSNG
Bandit known as Sani, is currently holding a livestream session with multiple people including his fellow Bandit. Nigerians request that the security intelligence used to track government critics be immediately deployed to track and arrest this menace.
Sincerely,
Concerned Nigerian ✍🏾
Situation under control. Attack was repelled before the insurgents could reach the communities. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and concern.
However, I must admit that the word ‘repelled’ has always made me uncomfortable. Whenever I hear that an attack was repelled, I often ask myself: where do they go from there? Do we really think they will simply sit quietly & accept defeat? Certainly not. They have went back to their enclaves to strategize next attack & thats the reality. Why is government and authority concern handling the war reactively instead of proactively is one question that keeps ringing bell on my head.
To my dismay, the youths are hailing the security outfit for repelling the attack (Watch video attached) instead of thinking outside the box and asking important questions.
There was an audio circulating claiming that the boys were already in Maiduguri. Many dismissed it as mere rumor & advised others to ignore it. Personally, I chose not to. History has taught painful lessons. In the early days of Boko Haram, warnings were issued openly, even dates of attacks were mentioned but we all, including the authorities, ignored them.
Today, innocent people continue to pay the price for those early mistakes and we are jubilating over repelled attack. We are not serious (but i am) and thats exactly why we continue to suffer for years. Until we are ready to fight, we will continue to pay dues for our own mistakes.
May Allah protect our people & our communities. May the Almighty punish anyone who has a hand in killing innocent lives.
If I do decide to lead protests tomorrow on my own to express dissatisfaction.
It is not the teargas or Police or DSS that will break my resolve in expressing our anger but it is the comments of people that we are fighting for that will hurt
Comments like “Who sent him”, “He likes showing himself”, “Don’t follow him o, he is already doing well in life” etc.
The fight is not with the authorities. The fight is within us as a people. We are not a united people.
We are greater than them.
If the topic is losing yourself in motherhood… then yes…..I would stand up and scream my name.
Because I know what it feels like to disappear while still being physically present.
Not at the beginning though, no.
At the beginning, I held on tightly. I protected
This particular reciter is no more.
I am resharing his recitation this Ramadan to be a reward for him for anyone that listens to it.
May Allah grant him paradise and free him from the torment of grave.
Ya Allah, break the habits that are breaking me. Put barakah in my time. Discipline in my mornings. Khushu in my salah. Replace distraction with dhikr, delay with action, fear with tawakkul. Let this Ramadan rebuild me into someone You’re pleased with. Ameen.
Good morning @Hauwa_L
I’m tagging you to have your opinion about my brand product. So I created a portable prayer set for Muslim girls, it consists of prayer mat, skirt and hijab. It can size anyone and it is very portable to take around. Please watch the video below.
@AirCanada I asked about the procedure for carrying Zamzam water and was told, “Air Canada is not a Muslim airline, you will have to pay.”
Payment wasn’t the issue, the wording was. This could’ve simply been explained as a service not offered. Inclusive communication matters.
please listen to this recitation by my father who passed away recently so that he may benefit from it as sadaqah jariyah إن شاء الله 🤍
may Allah elevate him to the loftiest station and shower him with His infinite mercy 🫶🏽
AND NO SOUL KNOWS IN WHICH LAND IT WILL DIE
The news of the tragic accident involving Anthony Joshua and the loss of his close associate is heavy. But looking at this picture—full of life, strength, and fitness—brings a specific verse from Surah Luqman (31:34) shaking into reality:
وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ
"And no soul perceives in what land it will die."
This brother likely boarded a flight to Nigeria with plans for celebration, heritage, and joy. This was probably his first time visiting the country.
If you had told him a week ago in London that his final breath would be taken in a town called Sagamu, he would have looked at you in utter disbelief and asked: "Sagamu what?!"
But Allah’s decree is precise. The invitation to return to Him had already been written for that specific spot on that specific road, thousands of miles from the home he knew.
It is a terrifying and humbling reminder for all of us. We book our tickets, we plan our itineraries, and we build our bodies in the gym, but we do not know the coordinates where the Angel of Death is waiting. We walk towards our destiny thinking we are walking towards our vacation.
May the Almighty grant his family and loved ones the immense fortitude needed to bear this sudden, crushing loss. May we all live with the consciousness that any land could be our final land.
So a bomb explodes inside a mosque in Maiduguri, the victims are Muslims, yet Nigerian media deliberately frames it as Bomb blast rocks Maiduguri on Christmas Eve. If you people report the actual news, will you die? This selective wording is not journalism, it’s madness and unprofessional.
How are we supposed to be fighting terrorism when we’re also forced to fight stupid, bigoted Nigerian media that thrives on twisting facts to inflame religious tension? Terror has no religion, but manufacturing a Christian genocide narrative is sickening, irresponsible, and dangerous.Say the truth and be professional for once in your miserable lives.
