“El Maestro and his Maserati 250F Winning at Monte Carlo”
This drawing captures Juan Manuel Fangio - El Maestro - en route to winning the 1957 Monte Carlo GP on board the legendary Maserati 250F.
1957 was Fangio’s last - and arguably best - full season in F1 which culminated in a then-record fifth world title, a record not broken until 2003 by Michael Schumacher. 1957 also delivered Fangio two of his most mythical successes, first at Monte Carlo and then at the Nurburgring. His Maserati 250F is considered the greatest of the front-engined F1 cars, with Fangio calling it the best car he ever raced it was not the fastest outright, but it was the best overall package
