“Jimmy's Last F1 Car”
This drawing captures the legendary Jim Clark driving the fabulous Lotus 49 Ford to victory at the 1968 South African GP.
It would turn out to be his last victory - and entry - in Formula 1. Jimmy would be killed in April 1968 while racing in an F2 race at the Hockenheimring. Jim Clark was Lotus, and Lotus was Jim Clark. He helped Colin Chapman and his team develop multiple iterations of Lotus F1 car through the 1960s, culminating in the mighty and technically groundbreaking 49. The first F1 car to use the engine as a stressed chassis member, it also provided the launchpad for the winningest racing engine in history: The Cosworth DFV V8. The legend driving a legend, indeed.

"Where the Valkyrie Belongs!"
This drawing captures the Aston Martin Racing Valkyrie LMH, driven by Tom Gamble, Harry Tincknell and Ross Gunn, on its debut at the 2025 Le Mans 24hrs. The Valkyrie was conceived by F1 design genius Adrian Newey and developed by Aston Martin and Red Bull Technologies as a track-focused hyper-sports car. Its natural home was always going to be Endurance Racing, and when the Hypercar class was created to replace the defunct LMP1 class in the WEC, fans were desperate for Aston Martin to take the Valkyrie to Le Mans. At last, in 2025, fans' wishes were granted. Valkyrie is an extreme design in every respect, and is by far the best-sounding Hypercar on the track thanks to its naturally-aspirated V12 screamer of an engine.

Quick update. After two suspensions in less than 12 hours, I've given up on RaceCanadaCA. We've dusted off @RaceCanadaLive and will be using that as our main account and this will go back to Tune In Alerts only next week. This week's alert coming at 7:35pm today, as usual.

This drawing captures Sir Jackie Stewart demonstrating his championship-winning 1971 Tyrrell 003 Ford at the F1 Historic Challenge held at Long Beach, California in 2023. Sir Jackie is widely considered one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time, being a triple World Champion in a variety of cars and a life-long change-maker for driver safety. He is a legend of the sport.
The Tyrrell 003 Ford itself is probably the greatest unsung hero of F1, being one of the most successful designs ever. It won a total of 8 races, the most for an individual chassis until the Red Bull Racing RB19 surpassed its record in 2023 - more than 50 years later!

This drawing captures Jenson Button driving the 2013 McLaren MP4/28. When Jenson announced his move to McLaren for 2010 as reigning World Champion, everyone thought he was making a mistake and would be badly embarrassed by the highly-rated Lewis Hamilton, himself a World Champion. But throughout their time as team mates, Jenson proved that he was more than a match for Lewis and often out-performed his esteemed team mate.Originally rendered in pencil and pastel by fine artist Mark J Davey, this piece is reproduced using specialist, fine art giclee printing methods.
