Since Fergie retired, I’d put Herrera behind only De Gea and maybe? Valencia in terms of contribution and consistency, in a time where the club has been a mess, sacked 2 managers, had players downing tools, he’s always put the effort in and rarely played badly
@FergieFutboI Give it a rest mate, in the last 5 years he’s arguably been in our top 3 players, never once downed tools and wanted to stay, we offered him a shite deal while signing on countless bigger problems, if we’d paid what he was worth he’d still be here, very few as good as him itw
@Utd_Mas Agree with all of this, he’s not as slow as he looks too, Also, an underrated skill, a great dribbler our from the back (as opposed to modern passers), not to mention rarely injured in 2 years, gives him and Lindelof the chance of forming a connection, Shaw n awb also I’d hope
@AndreasRole I agree form won’t stay that good, but I feel it’ll meet somewhere in the middle between the start and end of Ole’s reign, with signings and a good pre season, and imo Chelsea and Arsenal not progressing, 3rd and 4th is realistic and imo likely, espec if Bruno and Maguire come in
@AndreasRole In 10 games with a fully fit side and players in good shape we literally had title winning form, give Ole a pre season and we could be right up there imo, most likely be 3rd/4th
Europa gives a chance for the young lads to improve (Scotty, Greenwood, Chong, Garner, Gomes, Longstaff?, James), maybe for backup players to improve stock and be sold, and 20/21 season add a couple of signings and we’d be right up there I hope, I really believe in Ole
I think if Ole can get the lads fit enough and refine his tactics, a solid 11 of DDG WB Lindelof Bailly/Maguire Shaw Matic Fred Pogba/Fernandes Martial Rashford Lingard being potentially good enough to be battling for 3rd, a big step from last season in the right direction
2 already in, get Fernandes in, look at a CB, and bring in Ben Yedder If Lukaku leaves, not sure we should rush on longstaff when Garner hasn’t been given a fair go yet
@DeliverooHelp@AlmostFamousLIV me and my 5 friends ordered £87s worth of food to be delivered, (6 burgers, 3 chips), were only delivered 2 burgers and 3 chips and weren’t offered a full refund, only a partial refund or an hour wait for missing food (after already waiting 1 hour)
What a stupid way to do statistics, the person has never heard of standard deviation, and also gives no weight to more important metrics, if ur striker is 1st in goals but 20th in through balls is he average too? Go to a stats lecture ffs, shaw is as good as any English LB atm
27 different metrics, 21 different left backs, 1,000+ hours of data.
Conclusion: Luke Shaw is average (10th) defensively, average (10th) offensively and average (10th) in build-up.
It's no surprise that Southgate hasn't taken him.
If Madrid would swap him for Courtois or Navas I’d bite their hand off, I’ve disliked de Gea as a person since the fax machine, the guy isn’t a nice bloke, doesn’t care about us fans and wants to go to Madrid, if we can get a decent keeper in or keep Romero, good riddance
Don’t see how ANYONE can defend DDG, may have saved us a few times over the years but he’s also tried to leave, flirted with Madrid and never committed his future to us, he’s not been loyal to us fans so why should we be loyal to him when to be honest for 6 months he’s been awful
Furthermore we’ve always conceded goals because he can’t control his box, doesn’t step out and help the defenders (leaving them constantly shielding the ball toward him and having to kick it out), can’t catch crosses, isn’t great with his feet and now can’t save bread and butter
