In 2005 there was a social experiment where a documentary crew gave a homeless guy $100,000 and access to free financial advice. He blew it all and was back on the street within 6 months.
Libs don’t want to accept this but the vast majority of criminals, homeless, and druggies aren’t the in their predicament because of some grand social injustice, but because they fall into one of two categories:
1) they’re retarded
2) they’re evil
For both, even if you snapped your fingers and “met” every “need” they had instantaneously, it wouldn’t do them much good and their behavior and outcomes would remain largely unchanged.
The retards genuinely lack the ability to comprehend consequences and exert self-discipline. They’re like permatoddlers. No amount of hand-holding can change this.
The evils simply do not care about consequences and do not want to exert self-discipline. They’re fundamentally anti-social. No amount of hand-holding can change this.
At the core of this guy’s tweet is a persistent theme of thought most liberals hold dear: “If someone else had exactly what I have, they would be just like me, and if I had what they had I would be just like them” and that simply isn’t true.
And you see this belief threaded throughout not just their views on poverty, but also immigration, foreign affairs, gender, etc.
To them, it’s all superficial. All it takes to make an Indian act like a Japanese is to put the Indian in Japan. All it takes to make a homeless guy a normie is to put him in a condo. All it takes to make a man a woman is to put him in a dress.
They believe the “inside” is all the same. The only contradiction to repair is on the outside.
Modern leftists cling onto to this demonstrably false view because if they stopped to actually consider why this never seems to work, it would open a whole can of worms for them ideologically.
So they instead just move the goalposts constantly, always having a shadowy new devil to blame for this belief always proving itself wrong.
Canadian leaders have responded to the disturbing rise of attacks on Jewish synagogues and community centres with strong condemnations, new funding, and promises of tougher enforcement. The response to the widespread arson and desecration of over 100 Christian churches over the past five years has been far weaker. Few national leaders have spoken out. Dr. Rodney Clifton points out that fewer than 4% of church arsons between 2021 and 2023 resulted in charges.
Violence against any religious community is unacceptable. Equal protection under the law requires that attacks on churches, synagogues, mosques, and temples receive the same serious response.

"By contrast, the BBC routinely deploys its “Verify” unit to fact-check minor internet rumours or political claims, yet it consciously chose not to apply those same data-journalism tools to a high-profile academic scandal that was emerging."
The idea that the interests of children are generally best represented by someone, or something, other than their parents is a violation of Natural Law and the basic evolutionary logic that supports it.
Muslims love to brag about the golden age of science,
Al-Khwarizmi invented algebra, Ibn Sina medicine, Al-Razi chemistry.
None of them were Arab. All three were Persians from lands conquered by the sword.
The Arabs enslaved their women, stole their gold, looted their cities, then put their own name on the achievements of the conquered and called it “Islamic.”
It was never theirs.
On Tuesday, August 5, we posted about the Edmonton Police asking people to report “non-criminal actions” so that Edmonton Police can use their limited resources to investigate speech that is legal and protected by section 2(b) of the Charter: “verbal insults, name-calling, offensive jokes, slurs and insulting language.”
The Edmonton Police have now removed “verbal insults, name-calling, offensive jokes, and insulting language” from their website.
Unfortunately, Edmonton Police continue using their limited resources to accept reports about non-criminal “offensive symbols and racial comments or slurs”:

In the United Kingdom, what began as police tracking “Non-Crime Hate Incidents” resulted in citizens being charged and jailed over expressing political opinions on social media. Police should not be asking Canadians to report non-criminal behaviour to police websites.
The entire US media is running stories about “The Return of the Red Scare” right now but has unironically done this to every merely perceived right-leaning celebrity for decades.
I think the people who made Starfield should be fired, yes. If their families have to starve to prevent it from happening again that is a sacrifice I am willing to make
Never forget that hundreds of academics were shown the exit door for this man to be hired. Expertise is penalised to make room for entitled ineptitude.
There are those, particularly on the “right” who look down on @TRobinsonNewEra from great heights of moral virtue.
Few of them possess the humility and grace he displays here.
Tommy is a good man.
Rough around the edges?
Maybe.
So what?
He’s a good man. 🙏
I once suggested to academics at a panel that one way to get boys interested in a university education was to teach them about greatness. Professors should emphasize "great explorers and conquerors" rather than "imperialists and colonizers". They would love stories of how Cortez and Pizarro conquered entire civilizations.
I said this with my strong Spanish accent. They looked at me as if I was from out of space. This was around 2007, as I was realizing the Left was destroying the soul of White male students.
I went on to talk about the greatness of the West in multiple fields, and how it achieved more than the rest of the world combined. The entire room went crazy, in total disbelief that anyone could possibly hold these "retrograde" and "racist" ideas in a university.
