It is brutal working in the IT realm. Servers we are quoting clients now are pushing 25k to 30k. Computer prices are changing almost daily.
Seeing this on a daily basis makes liking technology and new tech unenjoyable. Use to be I would see new tech working in the industry. Now when I see it I instantly go no one can even afford to enjoy it anymore.
@MrkelsGame lol I won’t be driving to or from work that day. I will have the 19th and 20th off.
Plan on streaming either as it releases or early on the morning of the 19th. May even attempt a 24 hour stream.
@sheetz Okay this is pretty cool. I love getting either a Dr. pepper or an unsweetened tea with a little bit of peach tea mixed in when I go to Sheetz.
Y'all are never going to believe this...
I have Madden 27 beta codes! Giving away 2 each (PS5, Xbox, PC). All you have to do is repost this and reply with your platform of choice.
Picks will be this afternoon
Thanks to EA for sending them (they felt bad for me I think 🤣).
Love this. When it comes to CUT it is the last CFB game mode I play. I am all about dynasty and road to glory and building up the stories.
For sure playing dynasty day 1 and hyped as all get out for a new year of CFB. Wish I could be playing the beta but taking a relaxing weekend camping for the wife’s birthday.
@USN_TTV I don’t even plan on touching CUT on stream. When it comes to CFB it’s all about about the Dynasty and Road to Glory. Making them stories come to life.
My take on the future of James Bond games:
I think Amazon’s statement today is a positive sign. They specifically said they have a great relationship with IO Interactive and are proud of what they’ve accomplished together on 007 First Light. That’s encouraging for those of us who want to see IOI remain the developer moving forward.
That said, I understand why some fans are cautious. Amazon Games becoming the publisher doesn’t automatically mean IOI is out. The upcoming Tomb Raider game is being published by Amazon Games while still being developed by Crystal Dynamics.
The concern is the games that come after First Light. IOI has spent years building its version of Bond and has spoken about Bond as a long-term project. Many fans want to see that story, gameplay style, and overall vision continue across future entries.
IOI has also had a complicated history with publishers and has generally seemed to do its best work when it has more control over its projects. At the same time, Amazon’s gaming division has a history of changing direction, ending partnerships, and canceling projects.
So while the relationship between Amazon and IOI appears strong today, Amazon MGM now has greater control over the future of Bond games than ever before. Hopefully that doesn’t result in a change of direction, because I’d much rather see IOI continue building on the foundation they’re creating with First Light.
On the flip side, Amazon’s involvement could also create new opportunities for the Bond gaming franchise as a whole. If the relationship with IOI remains strong, we could see multiple Bond projects, spin-offs, or even the return of classic Bond games in some form. For now, though, I’m cautiously optimistic and excited to see what IOI does with First Light. First light is truly a master of game that I have enjoyed. A genre of a game that is been lacking games for some time now.

What this really means is that Amazon Games and MGM will have more influence over future Bond games since they’ll be handling the publishing side. IO Interactive has generally preferred developing and publishing its own games, especially after becoming independent following Hitman 2.
Moving forward, Amazon and MGM will have more say in how future projects are handled. Could that eventually lead to IOI stepping away from the franchise? Sure. IOI has had a rocky relationship with publishers in the past, so time will tell. However, IOI worked for years to get the green light for a Bond game, and Amazon’s latest statement suggests they still have a strong relationship.
Amazon Games publishing the series also doesn’t automatically mean IOI is out. Look at Tomb Raider—Amazon Games is publishing it, but Crystal Dynamics is still developing it.
The last I heard, IOI viewed Bond as a long-term project rather than a one-and-done game, and there were discussions about multiple entries. If future Bond games happen, they’ll simply be published by Amazon Games instead of IOI.
From a business standpoint, sticking with IOI would make a lot of sense. They already have the engine, technology, assets, and experience built around Bond. First Light took around five years to develop. Future games could likely be produced much faster using that foundation. If Amazon were to move to a completely new studio, you’re probably looking at another five or six years before seeing the next Bond game.
At the end of the day, Amazon MGM now controls the direction of future Bond games, so they can choose who develops them. That’s the part that concerns me. But based on Amazon’s latest statement, the relationship with IOI appears to be in a good place right now.
@nujimon To my knowledge the sequel is already in works with IOI being the developer and then published from Amazon Games. Kinda like how the upcoming Tomb Raider games.
Amazon would be stupid to pull the IOI out from the future games after the success First light had.
