I got a bad reputation as a jobsite nark .. and I'd stick my nose in others business . HVAC stripped the bottom chords of I joist with a boatload of weight to come later .. They compromised an I beam essentially so they could run a trunk line .. I ratted them out !! .. Had to .. I asked them " Have you not ever worked around these things ? .. this is in ductwork 101 and they even give you a book where to cut and amazingly how much you can remove .. but they are sensitive . one error and your'e looking at structual failure .. Plumber come in and bore sideways through multiple bearing studs and essentially leave two splinters on each side .. that little metal bracket doesn't fix that .. do you not know how to navigate plumbing through a frame ? and if you don't . ask questions .. Savages !! . I considered a job as a county building inspector .. but knew I'd get fired . county needs taxpayers and for every new home is a tax revenue .. so many inspectors are encouraged not to be harsh and turn a blind eye .. and the killer of most homes is water !!! .. improper flashing around fireplaces , around penetrations into the houses envelope like lighting , outlets and plumbing . kick out flashing , head flashing over windows and doors .. slopes , water running towards the house and not a way .. moisture in crawlspaces and improper slab prep .. Water is a homes killer
