1st off, immigrants who no longer have legal status, or migrants who entered illegally are not in situations where "America" "gives them money".

To be in a situation where the USA "gives them money", they'd have to have legal status.

We traveled to Mexico from Canada during the pandemic. The only ones who seemed to care much that our vaccinations were up to date or that we had been recently tested were the Canadian officials - YES - but only upon return to CA!

@ABRedShirtGuy13 @pdf00587301 Yes, all the major airlines were asking for proof of vaccination to be able to board a flight during the height of the pandemic - to protect other passengers - but this was true not just in Canada but in almost all countries - including the USA.

Yanks were always free to leave..
