Firstly show what Shashi Tharoor said in the same video about making reservations more targetted and restricting it to those who need it only.

Secondly, pls tell the world that Justice Chadrachud was on the bench in the famous August 2024 judgement that recommended creamy layer for SC ST reservations as well.

You may win twitter wars by hiding and misleading people. But you won't be going anywhere in the real wars!

ofcourse there may be people who cheat and fake low incomes. but woh toh SC ST OBC me bhi hai. OBC get caste certificates, Christians and Muslims convert and still ask to be treated like Dalits etc etc.

The debate going across the country now is not on how people misuse and cheat the system. It's about the policy itself and how some people just don't have to cheat at all and still gain unfair advantage!

In those 33 years, India got liberalised, opened up to foreign investments, internet revolution happened, IT revolution happened, billions of dollars of foreign investments came in, digital revolution happened, formal jobs replaced millions of informal jobs in unorganised sector, people travelled abroad for studies and work and now we're in the middle of IT revolution. It's almost like a comparison with stone age. I understand you're a stone age man with stone age ideas and hence may need reservations to catch up. But even the ppl for whom you're fighting, the rich educated well placed SC ST and OBCs and their kids, can't connect with you.

Yeh bahut simple hai. If you think reservations hasn't changed anyone's lives, why have it in the first place. If you think it has changed, remove reservations to the extent of the change that happened. Whether it is economic or educational or social or cultural or linguistic or whatever else!

"Modification of reservation policy, particularly to introduce income-based preferences within reserved categories, should be preceded by a holistic review and thorough empirical study, including socio-economic data of reserved category beneficiaries."

Caste census will do the job! You can keep misleading people till then and keep salivating that your family will get reservations endlessly!

I mean how can someone so brazenly work against the interests of the non creamy layer, the absolutely disadvantaged, by calling for the removal of creamy layer! lol... what a stupid argument! Giving 10% or even 100% to 6% won't make any difference. they will can anyway apply for and get only 6% of the seats! It's not like one student is going to get 2 seats just because there are additional seats available!

and how is reservations your matter? How about then giving reservations for all castes entirely on the basis of their population. Nobody will interfere with you. infact nobody wants to talk to you!

Mark my words here! What you're doing in the name of social justice is a cardinal sin or maha paap! Your actions and propaganda and what you're seeking are neither helping the really disadvantaged in SC ST and OBC or the UR category. The negative karma you're accumulating will push your descendants into deep despair. And you will definitely be around to see it!
