Nationwide and Accident Fund are insuring the contract and equipment of Atlanta Paving and Concrete. Atlanta Paving and Concrete are subcontractors for Brasfield & Gorrie, who are the general contractor for the ATL Police Foundation's Cop City pipe dream. Call in today!!!
Of the 69 potential jurors called in the Ayla King trial
88% (61/69) have heard of cop city
20% (14/69) are familiar with the Defend the Atlanta Forest movement
22% (15/69) have engaged in protest
45% (31/69) have had friends or family engage in protest
The movement is huge.
As long as you believe it is worth it to keep fighting, we stand a chance of winning.
The government has to try to win every single engagement.
We only have to keep going.
Everything you do to persevere is helping the fight.
Nationwide and Accident Fund make these contracts possible. They are insuring a facility that will be used to prop up the IDF, and to bring their style of militarizary brutality to police departments across the US. Cop City will never be built!
in the early days, other subcontractors used to cover their decals and signs to obscure their participation in Cop City. they were exposed, and have since dropped the contract. now that cop city is implicated in a genocide, we are not shocked to see this cowardice return.
π¨ On November 7th, another Nationwide subsidiary was visited and redecorated. Anonymous activists claimed responsibility for the action at the San Francisco location, claiming inspiration from the Walnut Creek action against another subsidiary a few weeks ago!
Over 1000 US citizens are participating in acts of horrific violence and brutality against children and civilians in the Gaza strip. They want to come home to teach what they learn to police departments in our country at places like Cop City. We will not let that happen.
π¨ Call-in campaign to Nationwide! Demand that they boycott the Atlanta Police Foundation! Stop insuring state violence! To protest in person, find a location on our website: https://t.co/SjmMnvhpkG
This is why we are working to convince Nationwide and Accident Fund to cancel their contracts with the Atlanta Police Foundation. They are insuring state terrorism!
Earlier this year, I was arrested in Bartow County, Georgia for distributing flyers related to the Stop Cop City movement and the killing of environmental activist Tortuguita.
Along with two others, I was charged with felony intimidation and held without bail for weeks.
π₯ Accident Fund is propping up #CopCity by providing coverage to the Atlanta Police Foundation. Through concerted action, we are going to change that.
Block Cop City organizers have published a preliminary schedule for next weekend, as well as an FAQ. After hosting presentations in nearly 80 cities, and several in Atlanta, expect the November 13 action to be enormous.
