The FBU is aware that pro-Palestine protesters are holding further demonstrations in Leicester.

Previously, firefighters have been asked to assist the police in removing protestors.

The FBU advises all members not to be involved in law enforcement activities.

I can't describe how sick I feel at the scenes currently ongoing in UCLA. Solidarity to those students being violently assaulted by the police, the protest going on at UCLA was completely peaceful and this visible violation of the right to protest is terrifying.

We need a permanent and immediate ceasefire, we need an end to the brutality faced by the Palestinian peoples, and we need an end to the violence directed by authorities toward those protesting the actions of the Israeli state.
