@RichardEngel The way you tweet about whether the US and NATO should engage in a full-on war against a nuclear-armed super power is shockingly glib. It's not as simple as "watch in silence as it rolls" or not. The stakes are risking nuclear annihilation.
There's too much gun-slinging bravado in the air. The west is playing this crisis responsibly and smartly. It mustn't turn into the reckless party here by imposing no fly zones, vowing to try Putin as a war criminal, or urging Russians to kill him.
2/ I just saw someone else say that now that Poland is giving the Ukrainians a few fighter jets they can do their own no fly zone. this is all pretty funny except for the part about it not being that funny that a lot of people have no idea what's going on here.
Honestly the twitter fever for "no fly zones" is a sobering reminder that Americans have close to no living memory of a military engagement with a peer military or even one that can put up a fight. One person was skeptical that a no fly zone is an act of war.
@nic_carter@Terri_5@TuckerMax Because these idiots just caused $4B in economic damage, and have shown that they'll happily return to cause chaos if it means getting more attention.
This is a bad hill for CT to make a stand on - this illegal occupation is WILDLY unpopular here.
Problem with treating America as the source of global evil is that you're psychologically driven to embracing far worse, which is Edward Snowden's journey. A once-principled dissenter becomes an apologist for a state that poisons dissenters.
Often concerned about shocking waste in the industry. #BTC mining will soon be seen as egregiously wasteful, etc.
@nic_carter is 100% correct here, though. This report is hot trash.
This is literal, verifiable, blatant fake news. Completely fraudulent academia. The de vries paper this is based on comes up with this estimate out of pure thin air. Any miner would tell you different
For the past two weeks, I've been targeted in an extremely thorough social engineering scam that nearly cost me all of my ETH. I'm super lucky to have made it through unscathed. Here's the story 👇
How Celsius lost $50,000,000 today and why wannabe bankers are easy prey to the crypto-savvy. Should investors & users be weary?
TLDR: Celsius banked on BadgerDAO, which was just hacked for $120m and it was the biggest loser. 1/x*n
