⚰️💨 Sunday Morning Observations from the Hearse
The Undertaker’s Humidor
Sunday morning. The church bells are ringing, the collection plates are circulating, and folks are praying for eternal life.
Meanwhile, I’m sitting here with a good cigar, knowing that sooner or later, everybody ends up making an appointment with me.
The preacher promises you a better place. I just provide the transportation. ⚰️💨

🏈💨⚰️ Saturday Mornings with The Undertaker’s Humidor
College Football, Cigars & a Little Perspective
There’s something special about Saturdays in the fall.
The smell of freshly cut grass, the sound of college football on television, and the rich aroma of a good cigar slowly burning while the rest of the world loses its mind over a football game.
After 40 years in the funeral business, I’ve learned that college football and funerals have a lot in common.
There’s crying, praying, questionable decisions, and somebody always thinks the wrong man is in charge.
The difference? At a funeral, people usually behave better.
I’ve seen grown men scream at referees, threaten to fire coaches, and act like a missed field goal was a death in the family.
Fellas, trust me. I’ve seen real grief. Your quarterback throwing three interceptions ain’t it.
So today, I’m lighting a fine cigar, settling into my chair, and enjoying the greatest Saturday tradition in America.
College football, good tobacco, and absolutely no responsibility for what happens on that field.
Win or lose, the cigar still tastes good.
And remember, the undertaker doesn’t care about your team’s ranking.
We’re all undefeated against death until the final whistle.
Smoke well, enjoy the game, and remember
The scoreboard won’t matter someday. The Saturdays you enjoyed along the way will.

@EmmanuelNg23833 I’d have to say that the cigar is not as important as just finding one that brings you good memories of the person and positive thoughts.
Friday Morning with The Undertaker’s Humidor 💨⚰️☕️
Well, folks, we made it to Friday.
Some of you are celebrating payday. Some are planning a weekend getaway. And a few of you look like your next big outing will require six pallbearers and a hearse.
Good news, though. I know a guy who can take care of that.
After 40 years in the funeral business, I’ve learned that everybody looks forward to the weekend.
Except the undertaker. Death doesn’t recognize weekends, holidays, or my tee time.
So here I sit with a strong cup of coffee and a fine cigar. The wrapper is oily, the cherry is glowing, and thick ribbons of smoke drift through the cool morning air.
Life is good.
Then my phone rings.
“Are you working this weekend?”
Well, somebody is. And apparently, somebody won’t be working Monday either.
That’s the trouble with being an undertaker. Everybody’s dying to see you, but nobody wants an appointment.
A little wisdom from the Undertaker:
Enjoy your coffee. Smoke the good cigar. Laugh at something inappropriate. And don’t take life too seriously.
Nobody gets out alive anyway.
And if your week has been miserable, remember this: At least you’re still smoking the cigar instead of lying in a box while somebody else smokes one in your memory. ⚰️💨
Have a great weekend, folks. I’m hoping my phone stays quiet.

⚰️💨 The Undertaker’s Humidor — Conversations With My Doctor
My doctor said, “Cigars will put you in an early grave.”
I said, “Doc, I’ve been putting people in graves for 40 years. You think I need directions?”
He didn’t laugh.
He said, “You really need to quit smoking.”
I said, “Doc, you spend your days trying to keep people out of my business. I spend mine taking care of the ones you couldn’t.”
He said, “Cigars are bad for business.”
I said, “Maybe yours.”
Now neither one of us is speaking.
The Undertaker’s Humidor — Where every cigar is worth dying for. Figuratively speaking, of course. ⚰️💨
Thursday Morning Thinking with The Undertaker’s Humidor 💨⚰️☕
Fellowship, Friendship, Cigars, and the Final Goodbye
One of the hardest calls an Undertaker can receive isn’t from a stranger. It’s from a friend you’ve shared cigars, laughter, and life with.
Yesterday, you were sitting across from each other, watching blue-gray smoke curl toward the ceiling, the orange glow of a cigar’s cherry dancing between stories.
Today, that same friend is calling because someone they love has died.
And suddenly, the fellow they know from the cigar lounge becomes the man they’re trusting to care for their family.
That’s when fellowship becomes something much deeper.
There’s something special about the ritual of a cigar.
The snap of the cutter. The hiss of the torch. The first draw as rich tobacco smoke fills the air.
Then comes the best part.
The conversation.
I’ve spent countless hours in cigar lounges and on patios, surrounded by leather chairs, coffee cups, overflowing ashtrays, and friends solving the world’s problems one puff at a time.
Somewhere between the first light and the final inch, strangers become friends, and friends become family.
But after 40 years in the funeral business, I’ve learned those friendships sometimes bring a different kind of responsibility.
Sometimes the phone rings.
It’s someone you’ve traded cigars with, laughed with, and watched the evening smoke drift away with.
Only this time, they’re not asking what you’re smoking.
They’re telling you someone they love has died.
The cigar gets set down. The laughter stops. And the Undertaker becomes more than a friend.
He becomes the person they’re trusting during one of life’s darkest moments.
That’s an honor I never take lightly.
Here’s my Thursday morning thought:
We cigar smokers spend plenty of time talking about wrappers, flavor profiles, perfect draws, and razor-sharp burn lines.
But maybe the most important thing about a cigar isn’t what’s burning between your fingers.
It’s who’s sitting across from you while it burns.
Because one day, that familiar chair may be empty.
Their favorite cigar may still be resting in your humidor.
And all you’ll have left are the stories you shared through the smoke.
After four decades of caring for the dead and comforting the living, I’ve learned this:
You’ll forget plenty of cigars you’ve smoked. But you’ll never forget the people you wish you could share just one more with.
So light something good today. Call an old friend. Pull up another chair.
And if you see the Undertaker sitting in the corner of the lounge, come share a smoke.
I’d much rather share a cigar with you today than have to take care of you tomorrow.
Life is short. The ash always falls. Friendships are what remain.
Smoke slowly, my friends. 💨⚰️

Theis statement isn’t biblical because salvation is found in Jesus Christ, not in political affiliation. Scripture never makes membership in a political party a test of genuine faith.
Romans 10:9 teaches that salvation comes through confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection—not through a ballot.
James 2:1 warns against showing favoritism, and 1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us that God looks at the heart.
Christians absolutely should examine political positions through the lens of Scripture, stand against evil, defend the vulnerable, and refuse to compromise biblical convictions. But declaring someone unworthy of Christian fellowship solely because of a party affiliation goes beyond what Scripture teaches.
The church belongs to Christ, not Republicans or Democrats. And when we confuse political loyalty with spiritual faithfulness, we risk making an idol out of politics.
As an Undertaker , I’ve buried people from both parties, but I’ve never seen a voter registration card listed among the requirements for entering Heaven.
The cross, not the ballot box, is the foundation of our salvation.
⚰️💨 The Undertaker’s Humidor Quandary of the Day
Moldy cigars. Bad decisions. Potential customers.
You walk into a cigar shop and spot mold growing on the cigars.
Now you’ve got a decision to make…
Do you warn the shop owner, or head straight to the parking lot and start handing out funeral home business cards?
After 40 years in the funeral business, I believe in helping people before it’s too late.
But I also believe in being prepared for new business.
Some folks see mold. I see a potential pre-need seminar.
