🇾🇪 Iranian and regional media outlets, including Iran’s Fars News Agency, are reporting the downing of a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone over Yemen’s Marib province, the key oil and gas region located in north-central Yemen today.

The claim and the footage has not yet been confirmed by U.S. Central Command or by Yemen’s Ansarallah (Houthis). The Houthis have a documented history of targeting the $30 million General Atomics aircraft, shooting down dozens of MQ-9 Reapers during recent U.S. campaigns, increasingly by using locally manufactured surface-to-air missiles. The U.S. has previously acknowledged some losses while declining to confirm others.
