7 TRAITS OF PEOPLE WHO CAN’T BE MANIPULATED
Most people are pawns because they act on impulse.
The people who can’t be manipulated move differently.
They’ve mastered their own reality, and have refused to be the subjects of someone else’s agenda.
You know the funny thing about my tweet is that it goes both ways, a married man can't be keeping late night like he does when he was single.
My uncle wanted to go out, the wife saw him and insisted he must change his shirt before leaving, nothing was wrong with the shirt, my uncle grumbled but still changed the shirt before leaving...
You won't see it this way, because your mind is fixed and clouded with toxicity, hence the pandering and projections.
“It’s not today that they’ve been kidnapping people in their house”
“Nigeria is safer now than 10 years ago”
“No be today them k1ll a military general in Jos”
- APC and Bola Tinubu defender, Seyi Law shows how kidnapping and unaliving of Nigerians is a “norm”.
In a particular teaching hospital, the staff working in the oxygen plant would claim they were unable to produce enough oxygen for the hospital's consumption. So they will get money from the hospital to purchase from a plant outside the hospital.
They will then drive filled oxygen cylinders out of the teaching hospital for a few minutes, then drive back, claiming they had filled it from the other facility.
We are quick to call out corrupt politicians, but many of us participate in small everyday acts that feed the same culture, just at different levels
I went to secondary school in Barkin Ladi 20 years ago. This is what SS1 - 3 boys were doing, night shifts in the blistering cold. I did it too. My mates in Oyo were sleeping or studying. I’ve watched this shit deteriorate in real time.
Barkin Ladi now looks nothing like it did when I graduated 14 years ago. I went to the same junction we used to buy stuff during outings last year & I was shaking. They don’t speak the same language. Crisis after crisis. Slowly, the people who used to till those lands are now doing menial jobs in the south. The names of the villages have changed. The senator representing that region was killed few days after I graduated when he attended a mass funeral of people who were massacred by the Fulanis who now occupy their homes. 14 years ago guys.
Trying to raise awareness about this state-backed conquest feels like screaming under water.
Few months ago, my aunt in mangu came to ask for money to trade cause she can’t farm anymore. Their farms were attacked 3 years ago. They wouldn’t dare go back.
For more than 10 years, we’ve had internally displaced persons from Borno living in our house, after my mother took them in. They only go back to their so-called homes for funerals. 3 brilliant kids; Elizabeth, Margaret and Grace (named after my now late mother for her benevolence). The dad does security work, the mom cleans. Who knows what they could’ve made of themselves back home? I do, they’d have been compost for aliens.
It always starts small then it spirals out of control. We’ve seen all kinds of terror. I wish they just came and shot people but that’s not fun enough. Bullets are for runners. They’ll slice pregnant women open to kill their fetuses. They’ll feed women their kid’s fingers. They burn people alive, hack them with machetes. When people try to defend themselves, that’s when soldiers come in. They call it farmer-herder clashes. They say cattle was rustled. Cattle was rustled? That’s why you renamed my village and put 200 people in a mass grave ?
I remember @YarKafanchan saying that she wept after the 2015 elections cause she knew her people would die like flies & then what happened in southern kaduna? When people talk, they say where’s the evidence? But what about the bodies? Dying is a morbid thing to be skilled at but boy, we have experience.
We’ve seen “strategists” platform them and defend all manner of wrongdoing on the alter of political correctness.
Omoh, let me just stop here.
terrorism-related deaths in Afghanistan since 2025 till date: 486
terrorism-related deaths in Nigeria since 2025 till date: 4,654 deaths linked to armed groups and over 3,000 kidnappings.
Nigeria is actually worse than Afghanistan.
You have every right to know what your government is doing, and they have no right to know what you are doing.
That is why they are called public servants and we are called private citizens.
Instead, the relationship has been inverted. The state hides behind secrecy, classified files, and redactions while demanding total visibility into your finances, communications, movement, and behavior.
A society where the rulers live in privacy while the population lives under surveillance is the very definition of tyranny.
The 'Spotlight Effect' is the psychological phenomenon where we think everyone is noticing our flaws.
Truth is, people are too busy worrying about their own 'spotlight' to even notice yours.
Woke up with a heavy heart today. Stayed on my bed for over an hour just thinking deeply about how much life has changed in such a short time.
There was a time my leave allowance could comfortably sort my yearly rent, and I’d still have enough left to buy a few clothes, footwear, maybe even a jacket.
Now? The same money barely sorts anything substantial. The most painful part is watching the quality of life in this country decline so aggressively while people slowly normalize struggle like this is how life is supposed to be.
A lot of Nigerians are exhausted, financially stretched, and silently grieving the lives they used to be able to afford.
Agree or not, APC already ruined the country, set us in a poverty journey at a fast track pace and they are demanding another 4 years.
You won’t feel this way forever. Even on the darkest days, small steps can bring tiny bits of light.
You’ve felt low before and you got through. You can do it again.
Be extra soft with yourself today. You matter.
Some days everything feels heavy. Your mind won’t slow down, your chest feels tight, you just feel low and empty. It’s okay. You’re not broken. These gentle steps can help you feel a little lighter, even if it’s just a tiny bit. This is for you. 🧵
If it stays heavy for many days
Reach out for extra help. A trusted person, a hotline, or a counselor. There’s no shame in that.
Sometimes our hearts just need more support, and that’s brave, not weak.
Sixth, be gentle with yourself
Talk to yourself like you would to a tired friend: “You’re doing your best. This will pass.”
You don’t have to push through or feel happy right away. Resting is also progress.
Fifth, do something small you enjoy
Listen to a song you like. Watch a funny video. Pet your dog or cat. Sit with a warm drink.
It doesn’t fix everything, but it gives your mind a short break and a little bit of softness. ☀️
Fourth, get the thoughts out
Write down what’s spinning in your head. Or say it out loud to a friend or even to yourself.
Overthinking loves to stay stuck in your mind. Getting it out can make the load feel lighter. You don’t have to solve everything today. 📝
Third, do one tiny caring thing for your body
Drink a glass of water. Wash your face. Step outside for fresh air, even for 2 minutes. Or wrap yourself in a blanket.
Small acts of care remind your heart that you’re looking after it. 🌿
Second, breathe slowly. Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 4, breathe out for 4. Do it a few times.
It’s simple but it tells your body “I’m safe.” Sit or lie down while you do it. No need to be perfect.
