@Enchant3dGem
The corridor outside the library was quiet in a way Rowan had started to appreciate.
People passed through it, certainly, but nobody lingered. Nobody expected conversation. They were usually too busy worrying about essays or hurrying to wherever they were --
@Enchant3dGem chance we'll end up completely lost."
A beat passed before he added, quieter this time,
"But if it's with you, I don't think I'd mind getting lost for a while."
His cheeks warmed faintly at his own words, and he looked ahead again with a shy smile, giving her hand another --
@Enchant3dGem having a plan," he added, a faint trace of dry humour there.
A pause.
Then, a bit quieter:
"But I don't really mind."

@Enchant3dGem before he added, almost shyly,
"It feels like we haven't had the chance to just... exist together."
The admission seemed to embarrass him slightly, and he ducked his head with a quiet smile.

He glanced towards the library doors, then back to Alyssa.
"We don't actually have to go in there, you know." Another small smile. "We could just... walk? If you'd rather?"
@Enchant3dGem first place."
His shoulders lifted in a small shrug.
"I thought if I just said I wanted to see you, it'd sound... I don't know." He searched for the word before giving up with a tiny smile. "Too much."
There was a brief silence before he added, almost absentmindedly.
"But --
@Enchant3dGem second before dropping again, not out of discomfort with her, but from the familiar habit of someone who'd never quite got used to saying what he was thinking.
"I'm glad you're here."
The words came out simply, without any attempt to make them sound more romantic than they --
