Dr. Martin is the current President of the Society of University Surgeons @UnivSurg . He’s the 87th President in the 88-year history of the organization (first prez served more than one year, and no meeting in 1945 because of World War II), and the 2nd Black President after Dr. Samuel Kountz @StanfordSurgery who served from 1974-1975.
