@ipranavgupta@DPIITGoI@WIPO@JoseBorghino@IntPublishers Well done. Hon'ble Justice Delhi High Court, Ms Pratibha M Singh made some important comments about fair use and Collective societies under Copyright Law. FIP and IRRO should circulate those comments among publishers and booksellers and, maybe in the media.
@ipranavgupta@WIPO@IntPublishers@FIP_India@IRRO_Official Excellent presentation by Mr Kevin. Everything went very well but the place was quite noisy and the air conditioning not working. NBT needs to give some attention to these aspects.
@ipranavgupta@JoseBorghino@IntPublishers ๐ In reality, it is the responsibility & the duty of the Ministry of Education & Culture and the National Book Trust to release yearly data on book publishing. We are the fifth-largest economy, and yet no information goes to the WIPO and IPA. Quite strange!!
@ipranavgupta@GvantsaJobava@FIP_India@IntPublishers Excellent. After New Delhi World Book Fair and Kolkata Book Fair, CIBF could become another one of the prominent book events in Asia from India quite soon with continued financial support from the State Govt.
Elated to participate in the panel discussion 'Making CIBF a Truly Global Event'. Spoke from the #IndiaBookMarket perspective & what #India has to offer in terms of #publishing. Focus on doing #literaturefestivals, #authortalkshows & making Chennai the World Book Capital in 2025
@IRRO_Official Quite an abstract message. Difficult to grasp the hidden message. No obvious correlation between Earth and Creative industry or books. It could have been something like: Creative industries will die if not protected and preserved because of replication and photocopying.
@BrutIndia Modi ji's speech was from his heart. Most people trust him, has already delivered many things. People believe he will be delivering many more. Rahul ji is around 20 yrs. yet, has not been able to imbibe our culture and ethos; does not generate trust; lacks dedication & devotion.
