@MrsGiles143 @IMFmyeloma Sorry for your loss. My dad died of breast cancer—I got my my MM from implant based breast reconstruction. While genetics can play a role, I didn’t have the gene for MM. Did they say you do when they diagnosed you w/MGUS? Do you have a history of ANY medical device implants?

@HumbertoMar_Cor As a 40 yo #myeloma pt who’s been in treatment 4 yrs & is 2 yrs post SCT this is oddly comforting. I’m kinda tired of capitalism so I like knowing I have 30 yrs less of paying bills. 🤪 Any research on how many of us have developed a kickass sense of dark humor as coping skills?

@Abdallah81MD @USMIRCNEWS I mean, as a #myeloma patient we’re told we’re at risk for secondary cancers from most of our treatments in general. Why is the risk from CarT such a big deal? They don’t warn us that we have risk getting lymphoma& myeloma from breast implants, but here we are.
