One time,my Sister Inlaw came to our house with her family. We had planned I was going to make her hair that day.
I was in the bedroom when they arrived. As the husbands were exchanging pleasantries she came into the room and gave me 2 big attachments, saying “Tope gba,mu wa si sitting room” (Tope take, bring it to the sitting room)
Confused, but since I’ve learnt not to question her ways,I just said “ok,ma”
I came out with the attachments and we made hair o.
Her husband : wow! See how you have beautified my wife.
SIL : Tope is too good! She even bought attachments down for me.
Me *in my mind* : hmmm??
Her husband gives me money that covered 2 attachments and what he believed the hair was worth.
When they were leaving,I covertly asked her about her attachment money.
SIL : my friend keep your attachment money
🤣🤣🤣
I miss that woman and her family o!
When I was pregnant with the twins, the scan was only able to see the gender of one baby.
Every time we checked, the other one was hiding.
So,my SIL suggested we buy baby boy/unisex clothes. Plus, even the family members that didn’t know I was carrying twins were dreaming that I had 2 boys 😆
Only for the babies to come out and we saw a boy and a girl. The last thing on me or my husband’s mind was baby clothes. But my SIL’s husband! 😁… that man ran to Trade fair to get beautiful baby girl dresses and cute skirts(plenty o!) and brought them to the hospital.
All the girl clothes my baby wore till she clocked one was bought that day by this man.
God bless him always.
When I was newly married, whenever my husband traveled for work,I would go and spend the time at his sister’s place. She,her husband and two children love me.
One of those days,we were gisting and she asked “ehen…do you still wash your husband’s clothes?”
I answered that I sometimes do,other times he does it himself or we wash together.
This woman shouted “ha! Haaa!!” I was confused.
“It will soon become your work o! And by the time you drop twins now,you will be washing clothes for two children, yourself and him!”
I thought “wow! That’s true o!”. Then started plotting how to go about stopping it completely 😁
When my husband arrived,
I will shamelessly simp for the person I love . If they serve me breakfast , I will move on . If I meet someone else love , I will simp for them again 😂 ❤️
I will heal in heaven
I stopped putting diaper on my baby in the afternoon because I started potty training him.
So this afternoon, the boy was lying on the bed and he wee’d.
The piss came out like projectile straight to his own face 😂😂😂
This is what he’s been doing to me.
Today he has done it to himself 🤣🤣🤣
We just found out my neighbor who we thought has been missing since he told us he’s traveling for holiday to Togo is in jail for calling a woman Ashewo.
Apparently while on vacation at the hotel he was staying,an argument broke out between him and a lady and like how most Nigerian men call women “Ashewo” when they’ve no meaningful thing to say to her, this my neighbor called the lady “Ashewo” and the authority was called on him.
Calling a woman Ashewo is a criminal offense in TOGO if you can’t prove it that she’s an Ashewo and they treat all punishments the same in Togo and he was thrown into jail, he’s supposed to have resumed work and he’s serving a jail term in Togo.
That serves him right anyways
Called my uncle (who’s a litigator) to tell him I’ve been called, he proceeded to tell my mom that she can no longer send his learned friend to wash plate.
I too love my uncle, what a guy 😭
Mama said it’s just grace. 😂 She said even from when she was little, she has never really known how to get angry because things just don’t bother her.
Mammy, abeg, where exactly can I get or buy that kind of grace? Because I really need it. 😭😂 na laugh she Dey use me laugh o
My new neighbor knocked on my door at 7 a.m. holding a casserole dish. I had just woken up, wasn't wearing my glasses, and thought she was delivering food as a welcome gift. I smiled, took the dish, and said, "Wow, this is so sweet. You really didn't have to do this." She stared at me for a solid five seconds and said, "It's for my husband." Turns out he had died three days earlier and she was asking if I could bring this to the church hall for the memorial because someone told her I was "the helpful young person in the building." I apologized immediately. Then apologized again. Then somehow offered to help organize the entire memorial service. Spent the next four days making phone calls, arranging chairs, printing programs, and learning how to operate a church sound system. At the service, her brother thanked me publicly and called me "the son this family didn't know it needed." Everyone clapped. I cried. Yesterday, they asked me to become the godfather of a baby I have never met. I think I accidentally joined a family.
WOMAN TO WOMAN: Date sweet men. Men who are calm. Men who can communicate well. Men who are patient with you. Men who respect both you and themselves. Men who are kind to you. Men that are gentle. Men have have self control.
Three weeks after my husband increased my life insurance to $5 million, he surprised me with a romantic trip to a remote cabin.
Halfway there...
He insisted we leave our phones behind.
