Two University of Malawi law students, Teuka Tembo and Bentry Nyondo, have reached the final rounds of world human rights moot competition taking place in Geneva, Switzerland.

University of Malawi (Unima) is participating in the final rounds of the 15th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Competition being held at the United Nations' Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
The semi-finals of the Savjani Moot Court Competition. Mooters will be appearing before Lord Justice of Appeal Mwaungulu (Rtd) and Lord Justice Dr. Mtambo (Rtd).
UNIMA is among the 24 teams that have qualified for the In-Person Final Rounds that will soon be held in Geneva. UNIMA has been scored on position number 3 in Africa.

Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales was at University of Malawi earlier today where he delivered a lecture on judicial independence and accountability. The lecture was attended by senior officials from the justice sector, faculty staff and students among others. Highlights ⏬

He is also expected to deliver a public lecture at University of Malawi’s School of Law, Economics and Governance—Malawi’s oldest law school.
Unima students taking part in the competition are final year law student Teuka Tembo and third year law student Bentry Nyondo.
