Some of Union Cities FFA members went to help with this year ag days. They helped with the animals and leading groups. Thank you to everyone that helped this year!
In the Leadership Development Events Rylan Glunt placed 1st with his Animal Science Demonstration. Rylan will compete in June at State against the other districts. Rylan was also recognized for his 2nd place Proficiency and placing 2nd in the district Small Engines contest.
In the Leadership Development Events Levi Clark, and Josiah Plessinger placed 3rd in Discovery Plant and Soil Science Demonstration. Mya Lafuze placed 3rd in Freshmen Prepared Public Speaking.
This year we had 21 members compete in Leadership Development Events. Only 1 of those 21 has competed before. Shelby Arnold, Addison Thornburg, and Elizabeth Prinkey placed 2nd in talent. Keianna Brantley placed 3rd in Discovery Extemporaneous Public Speaking.
Good luck to a Union City’s district officer candidate, Kaybree Cooper. Kaybree interviewed with a nominating committee. Tomorrow the district officer slate will be announced.
Members of our FFA attended this years District 9 year Leadership Development Events Quiz bowl and Essay. There will be many more contests on Friday. Great job to everyone who participated!
Today we attended the Wilmington dairy, and livestock contest. We placed Mya-17th, Jake-69th, Addison-83rd out of 139 kids. Sofia placed 597th out of 899 kids. Great job to those that competed!
