A couple asked a sex therapist:
"Our marriage is sexless. We haven't had sex in over four months. How do we turn this around and become passionate again?"
The therapist smiled and said:
Everybody asks, “How much protein do I need?” Almost nobody asks, “What is the cheapest way to get protein in this country?”
And that is the question that matters when the price is the reason protein has left your plate.
Here is the ranking, from cheapest first, using foods you already find in the market.
1. EGGS
Still one of the cheapest complete proteins in Nigeria, and very easy to keep.
Two eggs is a real serving. Boil six at once, and you already have protein ready to eat.
2. LIVER
One of the cheapest cuts of meat, and it gives you a lot nutritionally.
Once a week is enough.
3. DRIED FISH
It goes into the pot and can feed everyone at the table.
Soak it first (after properly washing of the dirt), and add the soaking water to the food too.
4. CRAYFISH
Grind it and add about two tablespoons to a family pot.
It gives you protein and can also replace the seasoning cube.
5. SARDINES
6. PONMO
Ponmo is mostly collagen and is not a strong source of protein for maintaining muscle.
It can stretch a pot and fill your plate, but it does very little for the muscle you are losing.
Somebody had to say it.
7. BEANS WITH SOMETHING ANIMAL IN THE SAME POT
Beans by itself is not a complete protein, and this page will not pretend otherwise.
But beans with crayfish or a little fish is a different meal entirely.
8. OFFAL
Kidney, heart, gizzard, shaki.
They are cheap, they contain real protein, and they are going out of fashion for no good nutritional reason.
9. GROUNDNUT
It is not a complete protein, but it is nutritious, easy to find, and usually very cheap.
10. CHICKEN AND BEEF
They are real sources of protein, but they are the most expensive options on this list.
If they are what has left your plate because of the price, everything above can help replace them.
HOW MUCH?
Forget the complicated numbers for a moment.
Have something animal-based at both meals.
Not just a tiny piece. Not a garnish.
That could be two eggs, a real piece of fish, a proper amount of liver, or a pot of food that contains crayfish and dried fish instead of only a seasoning cube.
If you are over forty, more protein is generally more important, not less.
You are losing muscle as you age, whether you can see it or not. Protein and resistance exercise are the two main things that help fight that loss.
Nothing else on this page will do that job.
AND FOR THE WEEK WHEN THERE IS GENUINELY NOTHING
Protect the eggs and liver, make sure they are available. If everything else has to go, keep those two.
And put crayfish in the pot instead of the seasoning cube, so the pot itself is contributing something.
Do not spend the little money you have on the expensive end of this list.
The top of the list gives you the most value for your money.
Boil six eggs today.
And if you are managing a condition where your protein needs are different — kidney disease especially — this list may not be right for you.
In that case, the amount of protein you need should be discussed with a healthcare professional rather than guessed.
"PREGNANCY OPENED MY EYES TO HOW DEEPLY PATRIARCHY HAS FAILED NIGERIAN WOMEN. 😫💔
Four pregnancies. Four beautiful children. Three in Nigeria and one abroad.
I was present throughout all four journeys. During the three pregnancies in Nigeria, I attended virtually every antenatal appointment with my wife. Every scan. Every test. Every check-up. I was there. I was also present at the hospital for the birth of all my children. In fact, all four babies were handed to me almost immediately after their mother carried them after delivery. But that is not even where I am going with this.
During those antenatal visits in Nigeria, I would see countless pregnant women looking exhausted, hungry, stressed and worn out. Some would arrive with babies less than a year old strapped to their backs while carrying another pregnancy. And almost every single time, I would be the only man there supporting his wife. The only man.
Every time we got home, I would ask my wife the same question "Where are the husbands of these women? Is this really how women are treated in the hands of this God-forsaken men?" 😫
I was born and bred in Nigeria, nobody teaches all this things. I read and learnt it myself and I understand the fact that a woman should never go through pregnancy alone.
Then I moved abroad. And my eyes opened even wider. During my wife's last pregnancy, despite working full-time, I never missed a single hospital appointment. Not one. And whenever we arrived, the waiting rooms were full of husbands supporting their wives. Men taking notes. Men asking questions. Men carrying bags. Men holding hands. Men showing up. That was when I realized something. Maybe I was not the normal one in Nigeria. Maybe that was why I always looked odd. Because what I was doing abroad was normal. What I was doing in Nigeria was treated like I was doing something extraordinary.
That was when I truly understood how deeply patriarchy has damaged Nigerian men and, by extension, their wives.
Nigerian men, stop this nonsense. Pregnancy was created by both of you. You may never fully understand what these women are going through physically, emotionally and mentally, but the least you can do is support them with your presence. And please, don't ever compare pregnancy to you going to work.
Look at the picture of my wife during our last pregnancy. Look at her tummy. Look at what her body had to go through just to bring another human being into this world. And you dare compare that to any work in the world? Are you mad or something? 😫
After everything pregnancy does to a woman's body, some of you still call women fat. Some of you still call women lazy. Some of you still call women cranky. Some of you still complain about stretch marks. Haaa. 😫 Every time I looked at my wife during those final months, I was genuinely afraid for her. The physical sacrifice alone was enormous. The discomfort. The sleepless nights. The body changes. The risks.
Men, respect these women. Give them their flowers every single day. They deserve far more than a simple thank you. And as for me, I still tell my wife thank you. Thank you for risking your life four different times for our family. Thank you for carrying our children. Thank you for enduring what I could never endure. Thank you for doing something that neither I, my father, my grandfather nor any man who will ever live can do.
African men wake up from your slumber. Women deserve more than gratitude.
They deserve respects"
They didn’t chain your hands.
They just fed you wrong.
In Ancient Greece, slaves weren’t allowed to exercise — not because of time, but because strength is dangerous.
Roman gladiators were fed barley and beans.
Not to nourish them.
To make them big, but slow.
All show, no overthrow.
In the Ottoman Empire, coffee was banned for common people.
Why?
Because caffeine wakes the brain.
And a brain that’s awake is a threat.
Spartan slaves?
They were kept hungry and overworked.
Too tired to think. Too weak to fight.
Feudal Europe?
Peasants ate bread and oats.
Nobles ate red meat.
That wasn’t a class issue. That was a power tactic.
Because controlling food is controlling people.
Now look around.
You’re free… but are you really?
— You’re surrounded by food that bloats, dulls, and weakens you.
— You’re told meat is “bad” and cereal is “heart-healthy.”
— You reward your kids with sugar.
— You start your day with bread and inflammation.
— You crave energy but live in fatigue.
— You wear tiredness like personality.
They don’t need chains anymore.
They just need you addicted, confused, and sick.
Too sluggish to rebel. Too bloated to question.
This is deeper than fitness.
This is war disguised as convenience.
And your only weapon is awareness.
Eat with intention. Move with power. Think with clarity.
Because someone profits when you don’t.
Don't forget to reach out for a well-structured meal plan. Share and tag your friends.
I really recommend listening to Apostle Joshua Selman’s special birthday service. He shared seven key tenets that govern his life, and they were very insightful. It’s truly worth listening to if you can.
One of the major evils we have done to ourselves as a society is the money centeredness of almost all aspects of our lives, taking and placing money as the most significant aspect of every dealing and interactions.
We acknowledge that money in a lot of situations makes life and living better but fail to realize that just as money can uplift and improve,it can also corrupt and destroy.
That is to say, there are places where money centeredness is okay and there are places where it isn't. As people,we excel greatly at the former but fail terribly at the later
Asides from business interactions, every other form of interpersonal relationship/activity becomes a watered down version of itself, the moment it becomes money centered
From love to respect, loyalty, friendship, kinship, happiness, intimacy, trust, truth, integrity down to marriage; every single value system that makes life and living great, dies a natural death when they become money centered, healthy and genuine connections almost becoming a thing of the past and the society churning out in large numbers a pool of damaged and untrustworthy members
You doubt it?? Okay hold on;
When love is based on money, what do we get? Transactional relationships
When respect is based on money, what do we get? People get treated as less
When friendship is based on money, what do we get? "outgrowing your friends"
When kinship is based on money, the poor man becomes practically kinless or a servant amongst his rich kinsmen
When happiness is based on money,we get people who are sadly slipping into depression
When sex and intimacy is based on money, prostitution becomes normal
When the truth is based on money, the rich liar becomes the honest one
When marriages are based on money, failed marriages and scattered homes become the order of the day
In our quest for survival,we have forgotten money for what it is,a tool to improve our quality of lives. We have made it the center of everything and as a result tore down the foundations(values) in which a healthy society is built
Our money centeredness has destroyed much more than our money can ever build!
Make no mistakes, money is not evil, but making human relationships money-based is!

TOPIC: SEEING EYES 1
MEMORISE
"The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them." - Proverbs 20:12 KJV
READ: 2 Kings 4:1-7 KJV
1 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.
3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
4 And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
5 So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
MESSAGE:
Today's Bible reading tells us about a widow who was about to lose her sons to slavery because her late husband left behind a huge debt. She was in a desperate situation, and in her desperation, she ran to Prophet Elisha and shared her plight with him. After telling the prophet about her troubles, he asked her what she had in her house, and she replied, "Nothing, except a pot of oil." She thought that what she had was little, but she didn't realise that it was all she needed to become financially free.
Sometimes, you don't need more than what you already have in order to receive what God has in store for you. All that the widow in today's Bible reading needed to have a financial breakthrough had been in her house all along, but she didn't know it. It took Elisha's instructions on what to do with what she had to help her experience the potential of the 'little' that was in her possession. If God had opened her eyes to see what He could do with the little she had, she would have never been in distress. I pray that the Almighty God will open your eyes to see the solutions He has put around you, in Jesus' Name.
In today's memory verse, the Bible says that the ears that hear and the eyes that see were made by the Lord. This means that a person can be surrounded by prosperity; however, if God doesn't enable that person to see the opportunities He has placed around him or her, such a person can die in poverty. Having eyes that see is more than just having physical eyes. When you have eyes that see, you will see opportunities where others see challenges and abundance where others see scarcity. When God opened Isaac's eyes to see opportunities in the midst of famine, he became so wealthy that the Philistines began to envy him because he had become wealthier than them (Genesis 26:12-16).
Beloved, in order to thrive, you need to have eyes that see. You need to see beyond the ordinary to achieve extraordinary results. Over the next few days, I will share the importance of having seeing eyes and why you should ask the Lord for them. I pray that my Daddy will give you seeing eyes so you will see opportunities where others see obstacles and experience breakthroughs where others experience oppositions, in Jesus' Name.
PRAYER POINT:
Lord, please give me seeing eyes so I can make the best of the opportunities You have put around me.

@gamerwalt I don’t believe in 50/50. That’s my principle.
If as a man you want a woman to do 50/50, the man should also be ready to clean, cook, carry pregnancy, answer the woman’s name the list is endless.
@dolawanle It's not only about being present for the children. How was his relationship with his wife? So many men are emotionally detached from their wives, and when they grow old, they expect automatic reconnection when the children have left the house.
Heavenly Father, as your children step into June, Let your favor go before them. May this month bring open doors, divine protection, and unexpected blessings. Let every delay turn into progress, every struggle into victory, and every prayer into a testimony.
Amen. ✨❤️
Let me say something that is going to annoy the people who are proud of their “7 hours.”
Seven hours is not seven hours.
Sleeping from 9pm to 4am is seven hours.
Sleeping from 1am to 8am is seven hours.
Same number.
Two completely different things happening inside your body.
And you have been told to only count the number.
Your body runs on a clock older than your job.
Older than your phone.
It does not care that you wanted to finish one more episode.
While the sky is dark, certain repairs happen. The deep, heavy, dreamless kind of sleep that helps the body recover sits mostly in the first part of the night.
Push your sleep late and you can lie there for seven full hours and still rob yourself of the part that actually repairs you.
Then morning comes with its light and its noise and its alarm.
And it eats into the dreaming sleep that was supposed to settle your mind.
So the late sleeper wakes after seven hours feeling like they fought somebody.
And they blame the bed.
Or the stress.
Or their age.
I am not going to pretend everyone is the same.
Some people are built to run later, and consistency matters more than a magic bedtime.
But most of you are not night owls.
Most of you are just scrolling.
You cannot eat like a sick person, sleep at 2am every night, and then wonder why your sugar will not behave and your weight will not move and your mood is on the floor.
The plate matters.
But the plate is trying to help you during the day while you undo it every single night.
Stop being proud of the number.
Start respecting the clock.
