"Straight Outta Compton" is the opening track and title song of N.W.A.'s groundbreaking debut album. Released in August 1988, Straight Outta Compton became a landmark of hip-hop despite receiving very little mainstream radio airplay because of its explicit lyrics and controversial subject matter. The album was eventually certified triple Platinum by the RIAA in the United States and became one of the most influential hip-hop records of its era.
