Unlocking it and going to Kate’s name in the messages she typed out once again.
“Kate, where are you?” (@SassyKateK)
She pressed the send button, placing her phone in the table with the sound on.
She shuffled back to the table, stirring her noodles she had made for dinner.
Her phone had been sitting in her purse across the room, hanging next to her coat. She nipped at her bottom lip gently as she sprung up, walking swiftly to the other side of the room. Shuffling through her purse, she flung her phone out.
Over twelve hours and Anastasia still hadn’t heard from Kate, and truthfully it had been pissing her off.
She fell asleep halfway through her lecture this morning, and couldn’t remember most of it. Ana had been sitting at home in the once again empty apartment.
//I’m sorry, but does every single Anastasia try to jump every single Christians bones? Like they really can’t just wait to see if they click with that persons Christian?\\
Making her way to the top of the bed, she crawled under the covers as she adjusted herself to lay on her side. She placed her phone on her nightstand as she stared into the darkness that engulfed her bedroom.
She walked over towards her bed, standing at the edge of it, staring towards the pillow. She leaned forward, plopping down into the blanket covered sheets, inching her way towards the top.
Sighing to herself, Anastasia stood up from the couch.
“I really should sleep.” She mumbled, dragging her feet on the floor of the apartment as she shuffled towards her bedroom.
She reached over, grabbing her phone; unlocking it once more as she had done many time throughout the night. She stared at the screen, nothing new had popped up; not even a check in from Kate.
She stirred the drink with a spoon she had put on the counter, placing it into the sink and making her way into the living room, where she sat down on the couch, wrapping herself in a blanket that had been sitting on the back of the couch.
She could feel the warm steam hitting her face as the water filled the mug.
She sighed to herself. “Okay, Ana. Bed time after this. You have class in the morning.” She groaned at the thought of having to sit through a lecture at nine am.
