Tell me what you believe it would actually do better for working Americans. What are the real benefits and just as importantly, what are the real drawbacks, risks, and trade-offs?

Please don’t tell me there are no downsides. Every economic and political system has strengths and weaknesses. Capitalism does. Socialism does. Every policy comes with a cost somewhere.

I’m not asking for slogans, talking points, or fear tactics from either side. I’m asking for facts. What would democratic socialism look like in America in practice? How would we pay for it? What would happen to taxes, small businesses, private property, healthcare, wages, and individual choice?

If you want Independents like me to seriously consider your ideas, make the case. Give me the pros and the cons. I’m willing to listen but I’m also willing to ask hard questions.

How many more jobs will AI replace before someone asks who’s protecting the people?

Verizon is reportedly preparing for yet another round of layoffs while continuing to expand its use of AI and automation. Thousands of employees have already lost their livelihoods, and more families now face uncertainty.

What’s even more troubling are the stories being shared by employees and their families. If workers are truly being terminated shortly after returning from protected FMLA leave, those allegations deserve a serious, independent investigation. If they’re not true, they should be addressed transparently. If they are true, the public deserves answers.

Technology should improve lives not make hardworking people disposable.

Corporate profits should never come at the expense of fairness, dignity, or the rights of employees.

AI isn’t just changing jobs anymore. It’s changing lives.

People are not algorithms. They are mothers, fathers, caregivers, veterans, and neighbors.

It’s time for transparency. It’s time for accountability. And it’s time to ask whether workers are being treated fairly in the race toward automation.

Respectfully, that’s not accurate.

The President had three constitutional options: sign the bill, veto the bill, or take no action and allow it to become law without a signature. He absolutely had the authority to veto it. He chose not to.

Whether Congress could have overridden a veto is a separate question. Saying he “could do nothing” ignores the constitutional powers of the presidency. Facts matter, regardless of politics.
