The 2016 referendum was advisory. The Leave campaign offered no defined Brexit plan, no agreed destination and no honest account of the trade offs.
It sold Fantasy Brexit: a colouring book of empty promises, handed to the public with a box of crayons and presented as serious policy.
Britain has spent a decade discovering that slogans cannot govern a country.
My personal opinion is that the general voting public saw this as a vote against the then Conservative government and completely missed the point that It was not a general election but a decision to leave the EU.
Worst harvest in a generation, record fuel prices, disease pressure, and a funding window that lasted six hours. Food security is national security - the words are there, the policy needs to match. Increase the Annual Investment Allowance, sort SFI properly, and stop leaving family farms guessing. October Budget needs to deliver.
This is a picture of the biggest benefits claimant in the UK.
They claim an eye watering £17,500,000,000 a year.
The same as 4.4m people on benefits.
How?
Because they claim ALL their costs, every wage, every oil rig, every tanker.
Completely nationalised, but the profits are Privatised.
Instead of cancelling the Triple Lock we should cancel the Tax Breaks for billionaires.
The Tax Breaks for just 150 people cost more than 10x as much as the Triple Lock.
Did you hear that?
15 Billionaires are costing as much as the Triple Lock, but you don't hear the Billionaire Media ranting about that...
Removing comedy sketches because the iPlayer curators assume the public can’t handle intent or context isn’t protecting anyone - it’s just lowering the bar until nobody’s allowed to be funny without a signed risk assessment.
BBC News spent Sunday referring to Jim Ratcliffe as one of Britain's richest men, except, he's an immigrant in Monaco, having moved there to avoid paying £4 billion in tax.
They screen him complaining about those on benefits, even though he grew up in a council house, went to state school, had free university education, and has taken hundreds of millions in public state support from the UK, French and German governments.
They screen him talking about broken Britain which is poor, but don't mention that he is a Brexiter, and Brexit has made the country poorer.
Our national broadcaster should have spent the day providing context to his criticisms, instead they wrapped it in a bow, pushed it out, to stoke further division in society.
I remember when the BBC was so much better than this, and I hope one day it will return to having better standards, than to simply churn out divisive nonsense masquerading as news and analysis.
If Jim Ratcliffe wore 10 real £40,000 Rolex's on each arm, and they all got stolen, and he went into London every single day.
It would take him 5,000 days, 13.7 years, and 100,000 Rolex's to pay back the £4bn he has dodged in taxes.
Just a reminder Jim Ratcliffe can't stand for Reform or Restore.
Because he claims to live in Monaco and therefore cannot be an MP.
He doesn't pay any tax either, so I don't know why he is moaning about UK spending.
Maybe he should pay some tax or actually fck off to Monaco.
With Christmas approaching why not consider the @RNLI on line shop for gifts. A worthy cause, great items and an opportunity to annoy that gammon Reform supporting neighbour. 😀

Has to be reiterated and clarified every year to our American cousins.
Britain and France were the only allied powers to go to war with Germany before being attacked. The United States and the Soviet Union were both attacked before joining the war.
The U.S waited 2.5 years. Literally a month before 1942, before actively joining the war.
Polls showed in 1941 that 90% of the American people were against joining.
Even after Japan attacked in Dec 1941, if Hitler had not declared war on America, it is entirely possible the U.S would focus its efforts on the Pacific, ignoring the European theatre.
So yeah, the U.S is why the allies won. Or at the very least, why they won the way they did.
But let’s not forget: the U.S got involved because it was attacked. France and Britain went to war out of the principle of defending an ally. Very different.
Farage's "explanations" timeline
1 It never happened
2 OK it did happen but I wasn't there
3 I was there but money wasn't discussed
4 Money was discussed but I wasn't part of the conversation
5 I was part of the conversation but I didn't listen

The Mail (which backed Hitler) now siding with Argentina in latest attempt to burst Burnham bubble …. Kemi would do better to stand up for Britain not play U.K. opponents’ game for them.
Meanwhile BBC online main political headline today - Reform promises (sic) on tax. Never mind news values gone wrong. Values full stop.
