Every Nigerian woman with trust issues must be ready to suffer in this life. 😂

Because how do you want to go through the market noise, heat, dust and crowd just to make sure you’re getting the purest form of everything?

She wants to watch every grain being measured, cleaned and milled right before her very eyes. She wants to inspect the tomatoes one by one, check the pepper, squeeze the onions and question the seller about where the foodstuff came from. 😭

You cannot tell her, “Madam, this one is very fresh.” She will ask, “Fresh since when? Who harvested it? Where? And who has handled it before you?” 😂

Even when buying palm oil, she wants to know where it came from and how it was processed. At this point, she practically needs to follow the food from the farm to her kitchen. 😭

But honestly, how far can she go with all this if the government and the relevant authorities are not doing enough to regulate and monitor the quality of food sold to Nigerians?

One person cannot personally inspect, clean, process and verify everything she eats.

At some point, **we need proper food-safety standards and effective regulation to protect consumers.**

Because Nigerian women should not have to become food scientists and private investigators just to know that the food they are buying is safe. 😂
