We request the University of Dundee supports a national increase in pay!
If not, the University can resolve this dispute locally!! We urge them to do so!
Unison Dundee University Branch members have overwhelmingly voted for industrial action on pay. We will strike 18-22 Sep.
Whilst this is a national dispute senior management at Dundee University has the power to increase pay or the T&C's of their staff locally. #DundeeUniStrikes
Dundee University branch members of UNISON have overwhelmingly voted for strike action over pay!
Staff need to be valued if the HE sector is to survive!!
Itโs fantastic that striking UNISON members at the University of Dundee saved the local defined benefit pension scheme!
This highlights what can be achieved by making a stance and taking part in industrial action!!
The branch salutes each and every one of you!!
We're happy to be able to support the Dundee West End Community Fridge run by @TransitionDund that is feeding some of our students.
Great to see the power when communities come together.

It's time for GSA UNISON to join the fight + demand an end to poverty pay in HE!
Last week we consulted our members via an online consultative ballot, regarding an offer negotiated by the University Executive Group and UNISON.
The offer covers the following four elements.
1. Pensions
2. Living Wage Accreditation
3. HERA
4. ยฃ750 cost of living payment
1/3
The results were
Yes, I accept the offer - 80.7%
No, I do not accept the offer - 19.3%
The majority of members who voted have accepted this offer. In doing so this brings UNISON's current pension dispute to a conclusion, and we will not be balloting on pay. 2/3
๐ฎThis winter 6 more Scottish HE branches will be balloted over a derisory 3% pay offer
โ@UNISON_UofG took action + won a consolidated rise of 6-12.9% for the lowest paid. Striking works!
Join us Tues 29th to hear how they did it with @RozFoyer@RMT_Scotland + @unisonscot
We're all in this together. How are the University going to take people with you when you're in an 18 month dispute with your staff?
There's been great support from the local community and local politicians too.
