The Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN), Pakistan's premier independent election watchdog, in its preliminary report on the February 8 polls says, "ROs in 135 out of 260 National Assembly constituencies failed to adhere to legal provisions outlined in the Elections Act, 2017."

FAFEN highlighted "discrepancies in the handling of Form-45 and Form-46 by ROs, with instances of bags being opened without the presence of candidates or their agents."

Dozens of PTI backed candidates were denied access to the RO's office by police and 'unknown' dark forces.

My message to the supporters of Imran Khan is you have right on your side in terms of legitimacy of popular vote. Don’t overplay your hand it’s gonna work for you. But I would also say it to the Generals and I would be more than happy to say it to them in private for goodness sake perhaps you were mislead about what the popular view was but you know what it is now. It doesn’t diminish the military power or military role in Pakistan to acknowledge what the actual vote is. I would argue it would strengthen the Military if they acknowledged it.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Pakistan for entrusting PTI with a resounding 2/3rd majority. It was heartening to see the massive turnout. The families voting together, including women and children—truly exemplified the essence of democracy.

I would like to especially commend our Social Media for its relentless efforts to stay ahead of the curve.

I also appreciate the role of the resilient polling agents who secured form 45 in the face of harassment and threats.

As the people of Pakistan have clearly pronounced their verdict, there is a dire need for democracy and fairness in Pakistan's elections. I warn against the misadventure of forming a government with stolen votes. Such daylight robbery will not only be a disrespect to the citizens, but will also push the country’s economy further into a downward spiral.

PTI will never compromise on people’s will, and I have categorically instructed my party against engaging with any political party that has robbed people's mandate, including PPP, PMLN & MQM.
