United for climate action 🤝🌱🏙️ Today Cal Cities CEO Carolyn Coleman and leaders from a coalition of California business, labor, local government and transit agencies joined forces at the State Capitol to urge the Legislature and the Governor to prioritize climate-safe infrastructure improvements amid Cap-and-Trade reauthorization negotiations.
“Cap-and-Trade funding powers our communities,” said Coleman. “It helps our cities meet the state’s climate goals, strengthens our economy, and accelerates the production of affordable housing.”
During a press conference organized by @ClimateSafeCA earlier today, Executive Director Michael Pimentel emphasized the impact of Cap & Trade program investments to date and emphasized the importance of continued investments to support California's climate goals.

We’re proud to stand with our labor and industry partners in support of #AB289, which will protect construction crews by slowing drivers down in active work zones. We urge the #CALeg to enact this crucial legislation to protect the people #RebuildingCA.
We were honored to join CA leaders for a reception to support investing in our transportation infrastructure.
