@Mufcjnr1 He could absolutely do a fair job at it, especially in identifying young talent. The question would be his eye for ready made 1st teamers & whether the club would act upon the recommendations, as previously they didn’t & we’d be in a much better place if they had.
@Utdtruthful If he was sold we definitely need a replacement, now he’s injured & going to miss the whole season though it’s a question of IF they need to replace him?!? 😵💫
We absolutely need 2 more CMs, this is a champions league team that will expect to do well, not make up numbers.
@Meky_worldwide Tuchel wasted a squad spot just to take someone he has no intention of using, just to possibly prove a point about what’s happened at a club that has nothing to do with him…. sounds completely normal tbf.
@StretfordPaddck Not a chance we get a player like him at the point we’re at currently, one of the highest rated young players in the world. All the major clubs after him, big fee & the more clubs involved the higher the fee/wages getting chucked about becomes, that’s not where we’re at.
@MufcBuzzLive With the amount he’d cost I don’t see it at all, sounds more like agent talk to me to get others to cough up.
No way the club spends the cash on him when all they want is a back up to Sesko.
Vidic £7m, never heard of him, Carrick £18m, park £4m absolute bargain, Ronaldo 12m, van der sar £12m, Evra 5m, solskjaer £1.5
Never heard of half of them or seen them play but great contributions in a red shirt, sometimes you don’t need to spend fortunes n just scout well 🤷♂️
@UtdPride 2 relegated players, one who barely escaped relegation & one who doesn’t get in his current team regularly.
It hardly screams a great window but I understand the attraction to getting each of them.
@MartienBall The clubs you mention are all regular Champions League challenging teams, we’re not back there yet for a start. We’re still getting rid of the big wages we had when the club was being ran abysmally, then it can be built on properly & big wages given to the right players.
@CryptoVarane Spending over £100m on a single player is what you do when your squad is settled & you’re plugging 1/2 gaps. We’re still building our squad to be good enough, 2 CMs a LB & another CB & CF minimum is what we need before we’re there.
@Utdtruthful So we’re getting Darlow/Johnstone as back up GKs & linked to Welbeck/Toney for back up CFs, does that sound like a Champions League team with ambition?
Sounds like a pray we continue getting top 4 with bang average back up options.
@FergieStandards CM is probably the easiest position to fill currently, there’s loads of quality CMs around. You don’t need to rush/overpay for one individual.
@samuelluckhurst That’s all well & good but Spurs could pay for it in the future, like United were doing years ago. If United don’t think he’s worth what they need to bid then move on.
@utdreport@samuelluckhurst If he’d rather go Spurs for the cash than United who are reportedly his 1st choice then he’s probably not the right guy to go for.
Sad that football has become purely cash driven rather than playing for the badge on the shirt.
@indykaila@ManUtd So reject Spurs, hand in a transfer request & push for the move. If he’s that desperate then he’ll have no problem doing it, many players do & it works.
