In response to devastating wildfires across northern Prairie communities, United Way NWT has made donations to the Saskatoon United Way’s Fire Evacuee Fund & the Canadian Red Cross’s Manitoba Wildfires Appeal, which are supporting local emergency response efforts on the ground.

We were honoured to welcome the Dene Drummers, who, through song and ceremony, brought incredible energy and spirit to the room. With continued expert facilitation from Andrea D’Addario, the day felt like both a gathering of minds and a moment of healing.
Resilient Together Recap | Day 2 ✨ The second day of our gathering focused on community wellness and psycho-social support — exploring what it means to care for each other during and after crisis.
Participants reflected on the emotional impacts of emergencies and how to strengthen local support networks through shared knowledge, mapping community strengths, and grounding in relationships.
Resilient Together Recap | Day 1 ✨ United Way NWT welcomed representatives from Northern NGOs, communities, and Indigenous organizations for a four-day gathering focused on service continuity, wellness, and recovery in times of crisis.
