Appreciation Post: To Our Eternal Captain – Bruno Fernandes, The True Legend of Manchester United 🔥
Since joining United in that fateful January of 2020, Bruno Fernandes has been our unyielding rock amid the chaos.
Managers have come and gone like shifting winds—Ole's fire, Ralf's interim steel, ETH's vision, now Rúben's fresh dawn—yet Bruno remains, eternal captain, never taking a breath of rest. He defends when the line demands it, attacks when glory calls, ready to slip into any role or position the team requires: from orchestrating in the heart of midfield, to wide duties, pressing forward, even deeper when sacrifice beckons.
A warrior who never hides, who bleeds for the badge in every duel, every pass, every goal and assist (over 100 each in all competitions for United—true legend numbers).
He is more than a player; he is the true ambassador of Manchester United and of football itself—embodying relentless spirit, loyalty, and class.
Grateful beyond words, captain. Forever in red. ❤️🔴

On this day in 2020, Bruno Fernandes signed for Manchester United, transforming the team overnight. Six years on: instant hero with goals & assists galore, lifting EFL & FA Cups, becoming captain. But amid managerial chaos, injuries, and club struggles, it's been a rollercoaster. Still our talisman! #BrunoFernandes #MUFC #GGMU
Huge congrats to Spain! 🇪🇸🏆
What a performance in the final ,completely dominated Argentina from start to finish.
Well deserved. The best team in the world right now.

Losing a pre-season game never feels good, but I’m not reading too much into the result. What mattered to me was seeing the players back on the pitch, some fresh faces settling in, and glimpses of the football we’re trying to play.
There were mistakes, the sharpness isn’t there yet, and that’s expected. I’d rather see these issues now than when the season starts. A few players really caught my eye and gave me reasons to be optimistic.
It’s only the first game. No overreactions, no panic. Trust the process, keep building, and let’s be ready when it actually matters.
Still backing this team. Always. ❤️🔴 #MUFC #GGMU
After watching Rashford tear it up at Barcelona last season ,the way he stepped up for them .I really feel he deserves a proper chance back at United.
Carrick clearly wants to work with him and get him in pre-season, so why not give the guy the opportunity to show what he can do again?
He can handle the left wing or forward roles no problem. That means we don’t have to rush out and sign another experienced attacker right now. Instead, we can focus that money and energy on landing a proper big midfield signing.
That’s what I’m hoping for. Rashford back firing on all cylinders would be massive for us. 💪 #MUFC #Rashford

🚨 Manchester United plan for Marcus Rashford to return to training for pre season as Carrick wants to work with him.
Exit still possible but only in case of European top club bids; no Turkey move planned.

Hey @ManUtd ,when are we actually signing a proper left-back this summer?
Shaw has been solid lately but he’s 31 soon with that injury history ,we can’t bank on him for 50+ games with Champions League back. Dorgu’s versatile but we need real depth/competition there too .Amass and the kids aren’t ready for regular rotation yet.
With the new season loading up, this feels like a must-fix before we get another injury crisis. INEOS, sort the LB please!

Look, I’m trying to be straight with this one. Santos is 22, Brazilian midfielder who’s been at Chelsea since 2023. Had loans, showed flashes (especially at Strasbourg) and last season got into about 27 Premier League games. Not a guaranteed starter there, but he’s got that well-rounded game ,solid defensively, reads the game nicely, progressive passer, and can chip in with goals from midfield. Athletic too, and seems mature for his age.
For United, it makes sense on paper. We need bodies in midfield (especially after Casemiro stuff), and a young guy like this with upside who actually wants regular minutes? That’s a plus. Could work well next to someone like Mainoo energy, versatility, bit of flair. £50m package isn’t crazy for a player his age with potential.
But honestly? It’s not the massive statement signing a lot of us were hoping for. He’s more squad depth/project than “this changes everything.” Limited big-game output so far, and he can get pushed off it physically sometimes. Fans are split ,some see the potential, I am like “again with the mid-tier Chelsea guy?”
Overall, I’m calling it a 6.5/10 move. Not bad business, gives us options and a future asset if he clicks. But it won’t shut everyone up if this is one of the main midfield additions. Depends how he settles and how much he plays.
🚨🇧🇷 Andrey Santos will be in Manchester for medical tests and contract signing in the nexr 24 hours.
Chelsea have authorized medical tests for Santos on Thursday in Manchester. 🔴🩺
Thank you Manchester United for NOT hiring Julian Nagelsmann as our next manager 🙏
Dodged a bullet there. The guy looked completely lost on the touchline, couldn’t even pick a natural right-back for the World Cup squad, was clueless with his substitutes, and was clearly losing the dressing room.
Massive respect for going with Michael Carrick instead. Proper club legend who actually gets United. This feels right. #MUFC #WorldCup2026
🚨🚨 BREAKING: Julian Nagelsmann and Germany, it’s OVER. He’s no longer the head coach.
Decision made and Nagelsmann leaves the job after poor World Cup, as BILD reports.
👀 Jürgen Klopp would be OPEN to the job, as revealed earlier this week. 🇩🇪
THE BLUE SHARKS ARE REWRITING HISTORY.
An archipelago of 10 islands. A population of just 525,000 people — smaller than every single U.S. state. Zero World Cup appearances before 2026.
And yet, Cape Verde just became the smallest nation EVER to reach the FIFA World Cup knockout stage.
Let that sink in.
Group H Results:
•🤝 vs Spain (World Champions) — 0-0 ✅
•🤝 vs Uruguay (1930 World Champions) — 2-2 ✅
•🤝 vs Saudi Arabia — 0-0 ✅
2nd in Group H. Unbeaten. Unbroken.
🧤 Goalkeeper Vozinha — 40 years old, playing second-tier football in Portugal last season — made 7 SAVES against Spain alone. He’s now alongside Dino Zoff and Peter Shilton as the only 40+ goalkeepers to keep multiple World Cup clean sheets. A LEGEND.
⚽ Kevin Pina scored Cape Verde’s first-ever World Cup goal in the 21st minute vs Uruguay. History. Made. Forever.
⚽ Hélio Varela dribbled PAST a goalkeeper outside the box to make it 2-2. Pure audacity.
They’re the first team since 2010 to reach the knockouts in their World Cup debut as a nation.
Next up? 🇦🇷 Argentina. Messi. Miami. July 3rd.
The whole world was sleeping on these islands. They just woke everyone up.

THIS is why we love football. #CapeVerde #WorldCup2026 #BlueSharks 🦈
What a performance from Lisandro Martínez for Argentina! Licha was everywhere. Absolute warrior at the back. Our United defender putting in a shift for the national team again #MUFC
Bergvall is exactly that profile: energetic, two-footed, composed on the ball, and ready to thrive with consistent minutes.
United should move now before the price rises or another club snaps him up.
Bergvall to #MUFC. Do it. 👊
THE CARRICK SHIFT: How Old Trafford Got Its Football Back
Amorim’s Man Utd: rigid 3-4-2-1, no in-game shape changes, 1.55 PPG across 20 games.
Carrick’s Man Utd: fluid 4-2-3-1 that bends into 3-2-5, 2.2 PPG across 13 games (9W-2D-2L).
Same 11 players. No January signings.
🔍 vs Arsenal (3-2 away win): Dalot tucked inside from RB, Dorgu underlapped from the left, Fernandes roamed off his 10-spot .
United created central overloads against Arsenal’s high line and scored 3 from 3 shots on target.
This isn’t a new squad. It’s a manager who knew exactly which shackles to remove. #MUFC
🚨 Barcelona, HANDS OFF SESKO!
You couldn’t even sort the Rashford deal and now you’re eyeing our striker? Dream on
Sesko is staying at Old Trafford where he belongs. Not for sale. Not to you.
Stay in your lane.
#MUFC
🚨 | Barcelona are interested and have #mufc striker Benjamin Sesko on their list if they are unable to sign Julian Alvarez. They want a striker who is good at linking play, and scoring goals, and Sesko fits that profile. [@marca]
🚨🚨🌕| NEW: If Manchester United could, in theory, only get one of a left winger or left back, they'll prioritise a left wing signing. [@JacobsBen, United Stand]
