گروه‌های حقوق بشری: سرکوب شدید بهائیان در ایران در بحبوحه اعتراضات و جنگ
پیوند نعیمی بیش از شش ماه است که در یکی از زندان‌های ایران به سر می‌برد و به کشتن مأموران امنیتی حکومت در جریان اعتراضات سراسری متهم شده است؛ با این حال، خانواده‌اش می‌گویند تاکنون نه اتهامی به‌طور رسمی علیه او مطرح شده و نه مدرکی ارائه شده است. خانواده او می‌گویند دادستان به آنان گفته است: «بهائی‌ها آزاد نخواهند شد.»

از زمان پیدایش آیین بهائی در قرن نوزدهم در سرزمین ایران ــ که در آن زمان در غرب «پرشیا» نامیده می‌شد ــ پیروان این آیین در آن کشور همواره مورد آزار و سرکوب قرار گرفته‌اند؛ فشارهایی که معمولاً در دوره‌های بحرانی شدت بیشتری یافته است.

گروه‌های حقوق بشری می‌گویند جمهوری اسلامی امسال، در بحبوحه اعتراضات گسترده ضدحکومتی و جنگ با ایالات متحده و اسرائیل، سرکوب شدیدی را علیه بزرگ‌ترین اقلیت دینی غیرمسلمان کشور به راه انداخته است.

به گفته گروه‌های حقوق بشری، از ماه ژانویه تاکنون ده‌ها بهائی به دلیل اعتقادات دینی خود زندانی شده‌اند. در جریان یورش به خانه خانواده‌های بهائی، به کتاب‌های مقدس و نمادهای دینی آنان بی‌حرمتی شده است. این گروه‌ها می‌گویند چنین اقداماتی نشان می‌دهد که سرکوب بهائیان از تعصب و خصومت مذهبی مقام‌های حکومتی سرچشمه می‌گیرد. گروه‌های حقوق بشری می‌گویند بازداشت‌شدگان با بدرفتاری‌هایی از شوک الکتریکی گرفته تا اعدام نمایشی روبه‌رو شده‌اند و برخی از آنان نیز وادار شده‌اند به جرائمی اعتراف کنند که مجازاتشان اعدام است.

تشدید کارزار جمهوری اسلامی علیه بهائیان، بخشی از سرکوب گسترده‌تری در سراسر ایران است. اعتراضات سراسری که از اواخر دسامبر آغاز شد، مرگبارترین واکنش نیروهای امنیتی ایران از زمان به قدرت رسیدن جمهوری اسلامی در سال ۱۹۷۹ را در پی داشت؛ در این سرکوب هزاران نفر کشته و بنا بر گزارش‌ها ده‌ها هزار نفر بازداشت شدند.

وزارت امور خارجه ایران و سخنگوی این کشور در سازمان ملل متحد، به درخواست‌های مکرر برای اظهارنظر درباره نحوه برخورد با بهائیان پاسخ ندادند.

بهائیان کمتر از یک درصد جمعیت ایران را تشکیل می‌دهند، اما حکومت حتی تلاشی برای پنهان کردن این سرکوب نمی‌کند. حکومت اقتدارگرای ایران اغلب از تلویزیون دولتی و شبکه‌های اجتماعی استفاده می‌کند تا پیروان این آیین را به جاسوسی متهم کرده و مشکلات اقتصادی کشور را به گردن آنان بیندازد.

سیمین فهندژ، نماینده جامعه جهانی بهائی در سازمان ملل متحد، می‌گوید: «هر بار که بحرانی ــ اجتماعی، اقتصادی یا سیاسی ــ رخ می‌دهد، تقصیر را به گردن بهائیان می‌اندازند. اعتراضات امسال و جنگ نیز از این قاعده مستثنا نبوده‌اند.»

در حالی که بهائیان اغلب ناچارند مناسک دینی خود را دور از چشم دیگران به‌جا آورند، مردم ایران تشویق می‌شوند همسایگانی را که بهائی هستند یا به پیروی از این آیین مظنون‌اند، به مقام‌های حکومتی گزارش دهند؛ آیینی که روحانیان حاکم بر کشور آن را غیراخلاقی می‌دانند.

امید قائم‌مقامی، دانشیار مطالعات خاورمیانه در دانشگاه ایالتی نیویورک در بینگهمتون، می‌گوید: «بخش بزرگی از این تصویرسازی، ریشه در خصومت اعتقادی دارد.» او و دیگر کارشناسان می‌گویند مقصر جلوه دادن بهائیان همچنین ابزاری برای ایجاد ترس و اطاعت در میان دیگر ایرانیان است.
