Restored in 4K in 2026 by StudioCanal at L’Immagine Ritrovata laboratory, from the original 35mm A/B camera negative and a 35mm interpositive. Audio restored at Audio Mechanics laboratory, from the 35mm magnetic sound 6-track master used to create a new 5.1 mix. Grading supervised by Michael Mann at Company 3 laboratory and finalised at L’Immagine Ritrovata laboratory.

To the fans - Thank you, deeply. You are the reason we got here. I know it can get noisy online sometimes, but the real-world reality is that you are some of the most genuine, kind people we have ever had the privilege of meeting. We saw every cosplay, every discussion circle, every sticker shared outside the theatres. That is what this is all about.

To every person at/with GLITCH - I never doubted you for a single second. You are all so incredibly talented, and I am so proud that the impact of your work is now being felt on a world stage.

To the industry - Animation and cinema is art. Art is human expression. Digital Circus was a deeply personal story created to express complex feelings. Please let that be the signal you take from all of this.

Splatoon 3 Side Order Sound Designer Okomura revealed how supportive the Splatoon development team was when he decided to update the ink sounds in the game:

"Using water and slime as a base, I tried various materials such as foam beads, pellets, sequins, and glass beads, and finally found the perfect material with iron beads.

By experimenting with the way I moved my hands and the tools I used, I was able to achieve the sound I had imagined. Members who had listened to the sounds I had recorded so far told me, "It's gotten better!" and it made me happy, remembering the days of trial and error. Every time I hit a wall, the other members gave me advice, and when they saw my experiments they would say, "We're rooting for you." I don't think I could have completed it without everyone's support."
