@SFENG_TA@USMint33@LawrenceLepard In theory I guess there would have to be some kind of physically decentralized vaulting technology to verify holders of the backing asset actually have it to back their Crypto. Hard problem to solve for sovereign individuals
@USMint33@LawrenceLepard World has been functioning with fiat for quite awhile and society and governments have organized around it. Why not bitcoin? Neither is backed by any other than belief in its worth...
@scientificecon Why Wouldn't the police in Germany not investigate a murder? Isn't that what this is? Sometimes I wonder how real these posts are. Seems hard to believe seeing I couldn't find a source also
Well, both the U.S. and Israel were founded through settler-colonial European genocides that involved the large-scale displacement and killing of indigenous populations.
The first U.S. census counted roughly 250,000–260,000 Native Americans, while some historians estimate the pre-Columbian population of the Americas may have been up to 100 million.
@TonySeruga As Native Americans would say "Your the Indian now" When speaking to the new Americans. A metaphor for occupation of elites over the lesser classes and it starts with making them hate each other first
@garyseconomics Hey Gary If the wealthy folks leave and taxes are to be fulfilled by the common citizen which could end up sinking them Wouldn't this just leave the corporations to swipe up the distressed assets away? I dont hear you mention much about corporate wealth
@fathernotebook@scientificecon Yes the external pressure is possible. Have yet to see it though and I don't think every jurisdiction will be subject to the rules even as it is now for who gets taxed. Those that see this coming can move or fight if they wish. Still depends on compliance.
