The Sovereignty Crisis: How South Africa’s Immigration System Became a Playground for Profit and Fraud:

South Africa is facing a quiet but catastrophic erosion of its national sovereignty. What was designed to be a constitutional shield to protect human dignity has been hollowed out, weaponized by foreign NGOs, international criminal syndicates, and opportunistic legal networks. Today, our broken immigration system does not serve the law-abiding citizen; it serves those who profit from its collapse.

Nowhere is this crisis more evident than in the startling compromises at the highest levels of our state advisory structures. Consider the profound contradiction of Stefanie de Saude-Darbandi. Appointed by Minister Leon Schreiber to the Immigration Advisory Board, she sits comfortably on the inside, gaining direct access to the Department of Home Affairs’ (DHA) internal strategies, policies, and systemic vulnerabilities. Yet, on the outside, her legal firm consistently drags the DHA to court, exploiting those exact vulnerabilities for profit.

De Saude-Darbandi claims to be a warrior fighting DHA dysfunction. But look closely at who benefits from her legal victories: individuals who entered South Africa unlawfully, and actors tangled in web-like identity fraud cases. This is not advocacy; it is a business model built entirely on a conflict of interest. It begs a chilling question: Has constitutional advocacy in South Africa simply become a premium service enabling law-breakers?

The real-world cost of this legal acrobatics is paid for by the most vulnerable among us. Take the case of Chidimma Adetshina, where a South African mother’s identity was stolen and weaponized to register a foreign national. While that local child’s life and legal identity remain frozen, trapped in bureaucratic limbo, corporate legal machines fight tirelessly for the beneficiaries of that fraud. We are witnessing the rewriting of our immigration narrative from the inside out, while elite lawyers advise the Minister, sue the state, and watch their firms cash in. This is not justice. It is an insult to the flag.

While ordinary South Africans wait in agonizing lines for hospital beds, housing, and school placements for their children, foreign NGOs spend millions to keep undocumented nationals here. They cloak their actions in the progressive language of "human rights." But when a nation's own Constitution is systematically used to undermine its border security and demographic integrity, it ceases to be rights-based governance, it borders on institutional betrayal.

Our current dysfunctional immigration apparatus is a breeding ground where global neo-colonial capitalism, failed regional states, and international syndicates thrive. To demand order is not xenophobia; it is the fundamental duty of a self-governing republic. Where do we draw the line between individual rights and national sovereignty?

Fixing this broken system and stopping illegal immigration is not an act of malice against our neighbors. It is a necessary act of self-preservation. True liberation for Africa begins with a stable, secure, and law-abiding South Africa. It is time to reclaim our borders, protect our children's identities, and clear out the opportunists exploiting our state from within. #ChidimmaAdetshina

DAMNING ALLEGATIONS AGAINST HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION OF SOUTH AFRICA 👇🇿🇦

“I am writing to you anonymously as an insider within the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC). I fear intimidation and retaliation, which is why I cannot disclose my identity.

The institution that is supposed to defend and protect the human rights of South Africans has itself become a place of abuse, corruption, and hypocrisy. Managers are shielded from accountability, while ordinary staff members face harsh discipline or dismissal, even for minor infractions. The Commission now operates like an “animal farm,” where those in power protect one another at the expense of justice and fairness.

The Chairperson and Commissioners are fully aware of this toxic culture but remain silent. Several complaints have been submitted directly to them all ignored or downplayed, especially those implicating senior managers.

Northern Cape: The Provincial Manager is facing allegations of abusing his power. A complaint was lodged with the Secretariat and included the Chairperson. It is alleged that the Chairperson personally called the complainant to downplay the issue after the complainant threatened to expose further internal misconduct to external oversight bodies.

North West: The Provincial Manager allegedly physically assaulted an employee. The case was handled by the Acting COO, who ruled in favour of the Provincial Manager despite clear concerns. Many employees view this and other similar incidents as deliberate efforts to silence staff. There are numerous cases of this nature that the Chairperson and Commissioners are aware of but have refused to act on.

Eastern Cape: The Provincial Manager is reportedly running the office “like a spaza shop.” A recent resignation was allegedly caused by her abuse of power. The employee, who had ongoing health problems, was pressured to work while on sick leave. In July 2025, she suffered a broken leg in an accident. When her doctor requested extended sick leave, the Manager allegedly made disparaging remarks about her and initially refused the extension before reluctantly approving it. In October 2025, the employee resigned to protect her health. Shockingly, her position was advertised while she was still serving her notice.

In addition, in 2024, the Eastern Cape Provincial Manager submitted an internal memorandum supporting the awarding of an office building lease to a company where the wife of a former Commissioner is a director. The Chairperson later disqualified the bid due to a conflict of interest. However, it is alleged that the same former Commissioner approached the Western Cape Provincial Manager to support another lease linked to his wife. The Eastern Cape Manager’s involvement appears tied to the former Commissioner’s influence in her appointment. A complaint was lodged to review irregular recruitment processes, yet the Chairperson and Commissioners have again failed to act.

CFO and Favouritism: Earlier this year, the SAHRC invited employees over 55 years old to apply for early retirement. Many applied some even sold their homes after being assured that approvals were guaranteed. Only one application was approved: that of the CFO’s personal assistant. The official reason was “budget constraints,” yet funds are being spent on unnecessary litigation against groups like Operation Dudula and March and March. Employees believe the early retirement process was engineered to benefit the CFO’s assistant. Some affected employees are now without homes, and one official who refuses to return to work is reportedly facing disciplinary action.

Meanwhile, the CFO continues to consolidate power by overseeing multiple departments without permanent leadership. Ethical senior managers are sidelined or forced to resign. There are also persistent allegations that certain union leaders are rewarded with positions or benefits to ensure their silence.
