FIFA confirm single-player walkouts won’t happen at the World Cup.
They will instead debut what is being called a “fan-centric pre-match ceremony” intended to showcase squads not just starting XIs. As revealed, the walkouts remain non-traditional.
All players will stand in the centre circle for the line-up reads and national anthems.
There will also be creative new visual elements, including the use of hand-held flags.🏆

@NTrialist Do we try to make everything about iPhones, Basketball, this app or anything created in America British/English/European? No. We get on with it just the way it is and don’t add our two pence to it.
See my point?
@BobbyKing413 Pre-game yeah, before the teams even come out, not making whole squads walk into the centre circle for dramatic effect and making half time 30 mins for an extra show in the final? What are you even getting at here.
@BobbyKing413 So what about the 30 minute half time break in the World Cup final for a performance? Whether FIFA is doing it or not, that shit is what Americans do. You do it at the fucking Super Bowl, no other country does this shit
@BobbyKing413 We watch this sport week in week out in this country and it’s a big part of our lives thank you very much, don’t need your wet wipe bunch of commercialisers ruining traditions of the sport to suit baseball and NFL fanatics
