@chovygoat Yes. The "LCK style" is basically Tasteless & Artosis casting GSL over in SC2. It's the foundation of English broadcast of Korean esports. It helps when both Valdes and Wolf casted SC2 and were (/are) most likely huge fans of Tastosis. But then, which English caster in KR isn't?
@rip_wire65895@thatstarwarsgrl He was canonically 53 in EP. 3. EP 4 is ~19 years later, EP9 is ~35ABY. That's ~54 years between ep. 3 and 9. So he'd be ~107.
@KatarinaNoKami@gabrieloh1291@Sheep_Esports He did, though. Peyz was bullying FenRir in lane. It's just BDD/Cuzz giga gapped Faker/Oner. PerfecT went slightly behind in lane with Doran, but was a way bigger teamfight presence. Keria can't save inting Mid/Jgl by himself.
@btsrkings@RFTGGlol I don't trust KT/DK (the most likely 4th seed from Korea) to not randomly run it down in play-ins. In fact, I'd say their chances of winning the whole thing is about the same as them running it down.
@SickNastyIrelia@arshgoyal13 DK can't close out a 10k gold lead vs literally "sprinting it down mid, end our misery please" roller coaster of KT. I'd say that is a safe bet.
@eliasgijbels@SushiCatKing@1CantBeNamed@Thorin As someone from EU, agreed. T1 was the most competitive against BLG. It's almost as if the G2 team is designed to beat LCK teams. And once they face LCS (LPL lite) or HLE (the most LPL-style team in the LCK) they crumble.
@bang__lol@plsxo2@razlol Also, NA owns EU for the last like 6 years. I'm expecting 3-1 LYON. And then LYON is going to get reminded why LPL/LCK is miles ahead by getting clowned on "what are you even doing here, pup" 3-0 style.
@bang__lol@plsxo2@razlol G2 beats LCK teams because their style is similar, yet (champ pick wise) different enough to be a problem. Beating TES actually doesn't count. The meme is GenG at internationals. It should be TES.
@ReganRJZ@drewlevin@zac_gaming__ In SC2 you are.
It's to lessen the impact of smurfing in lower leagues/MMR ranges. The system will overestimate your MMR on purpose. In a 1v1 game it just means you get stomped for a few games.
Is it worth it? In a 1v1 yes. In a 5v5? That I do not know.
@ReganRJZ@drewlevin@zac_gaming__ SC2 does the same thing. You get your 5 placements, then get a league/division. SC2 had an update and shows your MMR, which fluctuates insanely in the first games based on performance. Happens in Chess. Happens in League. It's just poorly represented in LoL.
@ReganRJZ@drewlevin@zac_gaming__ Because deeming where a brand new account is supposed to be is insanely difficult, if not impossible. In SC2 you expect ~ 50-100 games before you settle into your actual MMR range. And that's a 1v1, where your skill determines the outcome of the game basically 100% of the time.
@jasonmashak@Natute123 Czechia has culturally more in common with Germany/Austria than Ukraine. Heck Bohemia has probably more in common with Germany than Moravia. Which you should obviously know. The term "Central Europe" makes sense culturally, whether you like it or not.
@degen187@reddit_lies It's called probation period. You can get fired/quit for any reason during this time. Even in the middle of a shift. Is it a dick move quit in the middle of one? Yes. Legal? Also yes. Works the other way too.
@LukasPrajzler@JiriNohejl To, že tam jsou nezpochybňuji. To ale nesouvisí s tím, že mám strach tam jít po ulici, že mě vykradou každé druhé úterý apod. To se v 99% USA opravdu neděje.
Samozřejmě Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans,... existují, to ovšem není realita pro drtivou většinu USA.
@DerMothMan@AsycLoL There are ADCs that can lane 1v2 even from behind. Obviously this is matchup dependant, leaving an ADC 1v2 vs Cait/Lux is degenerate.
Solution is to swap ADC/Mid lane. If enemy ADC/sup duo moves mid, Tis the best place for support anyway. Problem solved.
