Once the prices fall back down to their desired price points for a period of thirty days, the reduction goes away. If the initial 10% reduction does not reduce prices to the desired price point, then the reduction increases by 1% each week until the desired price

The Act

If at any time the national average of gas reaches 3.50 a gallon, or the price of diesel reaches 4.00 per gallon, a trigger law takes effect that reduces the export of refined fuels by 10%. 1/2
