@prof_icecream7 For the past ~10yrs I've taught ~75% of my classes online. It is possible to (1) teach successful classes online, (2) engage meaningfully with your students, & (3) create interactive peer spaces that forge student connections. Also, this fall semester feels weird to me too 😢
@thephdstory For my in-person courses, my last class consists of tying up loose ends on final projects, a pot luck party, & an informal discussion about experiences during the semester and how to improve the course in future offerings.
As an academic, if you had $3000 to spend on research supplies/equipment, teaching materials/ supplies, professional dues, professional development, etc., how would you spend the money? #AcademicTwitter#phdlife#phdchat#academiclife
@JennyAThatcher Related - myself & a few colleagues recently started a podcast @UnlikelyEdu to explore #gradschool from the perspective of the "unlikely academic' - we are looking for people to share their stories. Our aim is to make #gradschool more accessible to all.
