The Unobserved is the story of the Symmerians, an extinct group of people, who lived completely isolated from all other human life, yet somehow lived a life very similar to our own. They played games and sports, which were attended by thousands of people every day. /2
@OrtegaMedici Creation of The Stone. The first piece in an ongoing series that uncovers the lost culture of the Symmerians, an ancient group of people who were possibly more technologically advanced than we are today. https://t.co/TjmATf3M6D
This book was a huge inspiration for The Unobserved. Definitely worth the read if you’re into Jules Verne, lost cities, etc. Amazing what you can find at the thrift store!
I really don’t care whether you like my piece or not. All I want to know is what visual message is coming across. How will it be interpreted by someone who has 5 seconds to look and has no idea what it’s about?
The story creates the piece, and the piece finishes the story. I really can’t have one without the other. Write, create, rewrite, create again, edit, refine, get an outside impression (not opinion), done.
I know this is a pipe dream right now. But one day, someone will do it. And I will probably cry. Took me probably 20-30 hours+ to make this rock. The first thing I’ve ever made in MagicaVoxel. And I’m so proud of it.
The Symmerians are simultaneously far less and far more advanced than we are. Their structures were stone and on the surface resemble ancient Egypt, etc. but some of their technology surpasses what we can do today by a long shot.
