@LDSMormon I understand what the scouts were trying to do though I found them to be wildly hypocritical. They took extreme advantage of the church and its members by scalping 6 figure salaries off the backs of donors. There is a reason why all of the Utah councils were consolidated $$$.

@Mormonger Honestly i could care less if people are wrong, I’ll let them be wrong and let them deal with the consequences. It does no good to get pissed. Besides the mark of good communication is the ability to call someone an Ahole and have them thank you for it.

@DanEllsworthVA 2/2 Whereas people in the church are afraid that their neighbors might see them sin. In SLC the church feels more cultural and less about following Christ.
In some instances it’s more about the image and less about the belief.

@DanEllsworthVA That is a great approach. Though my issue is I have a love for genuine people regardless of beliefs, and a low tolerance for those that aren’t. Most of the people in my life aren’t lds because I tend to feel they are more genuine people. 1/2

@BrocA96 They didn’t renovate it because people didn’t want it renovated and lose the 130+ year old hand painted artwork and hand carved wood work. Nearly the whole temple is original and the spiral stairs are only found a few places worldwide it is also said Moroni dedicated the ground.
