@VisualsbySauter The light was already fading when we saw this moose mama with a calf nearby. We were pretty close but kept enough distance that she barely even paid attention to us while she grazed. It was hard to get a photo because she rarely looked up!

Juvenile bald eagle near Soldotna, Alaska showing off its fancy nictating membranes. You don't have any nictating membranes because you're not fancy.

@MaryleeBurman I have a spotify playlist for concentrating while I work, but sometimes I accidentally put it on repeat and then realize I've been listening to the same song over and over again for an hour.
Three weeks in Alaska! These are just initial edits, but I couldn't wait to share them!
"Mama, I'mma eat your face Rawr!"
"I'm an otter. I float around on my back and do cute little human things with my hands," like obliterate crabs.

Just dropped these off at Bella Art Gallery in Monument, CO. Preparing for the Storm and Weathering the Storm, 20”x25” canvas. They’ll be on display and for sale by the end of the day! #BaldEagles#FineArtPhotography#PrintYourWork
@amsivertson@MarkDenneyPhoto Yep--the only people who see that last 10% in photography are other photographers, and they're probably not the ones buying your work.
Photogs might be watching Mark's YouTube channel, but how many of his 214,000 subscribers can discern that last 10%--esp with YT's compression?
@MarkDenneyPhoto It's brave of you to discuss how working too often affects your mental state, and how one way to improve it is by giving customers what they want instead of everything you have. As a military officer transitioning to photog for my 2nd career, I'm trying to find that balance now.
Bison Stare at last night’s exhibit opener at @cottonwoodarts center. The Professional Photographers Guild of Colorado Springs had a great turnout, and the exhibit will be displayed through Aug 27. So exciting seeing everyone’s work. #Bison#WildlifePhotography
It was a wet, drizzly drive when my friend spotted this healthy coyote. The opportunity was so fleeting that we barely had time to photograph it. Looks fluffy even in the rain! This is why I keep my camera ready to go until I'm completely out of the fun zone. #ColoradoWild#RMNP
However you do it, it would be nice to pause and appreciate those we are memorializing.
I will also remember those who came home but never truly made it back, like Rob, and Brandon, and James. They are casualties of war just like the ones who died in theater. #MemorialDay #4/4
I took this a few mos into my photo journey, just in time for #MemorialDay. It's just a bird but humans often anthropomorphize animals & I like to think it has meaning--b/c capturing meaning thru photography is an important part of my transition from mil. officer to veteran. #1/4
Here's my take: enjoy it however you want to. Our nation's fallen died protecting our way of life, which includes the freedom to have a raging #MemorialDay party, or have a quiet drink alone, or sit around telling stories with a small group of friends if that's your way. #3/4
First day in the field with the new R5 and RF 100-500mm. This is a quick cell phone drop of mama returning to the nest after some well-deserved alone time. Can’t wait to see what the real photos look like!
