From what i figured out online:
A “settings babe” is a babe that honors every single invitation, regardless of time, day or prior commitment.
A settings babe can’t be a babe that has work or something going on for them. It’s a babe that is jobless and knows that, as long as she’s present, she’d see free food and drinks and also a setting that she can take pictures for the gram.
Someone who wakes up to go to a job can’t be a settings babe. With that being said, I hope you understand what a settings babe is.
As far as I'm concerned, alcohol is not a problem. Abuse is the problem.
If alcohol has zero health benefit like these doctors claim, let them take their findings and evidences to WHO or the UN for a total ban on alcohol.
Alcohol is better than many medicines people take.
Your environment matters. Good friends may challenge your methods, but they should not make you feel ashamed for wanting to grow, improve, or build a better future.
I don't think there's any rule anywhere with regards to this. That depends solely on what they choose.
Both for me, it would be done in OUR Church because even before the wedding, we would have been going to the same church.
I don't do all those relationships where I'd be going to church A and my woman is going to church B. No way.
I saw a comment on the TL “EVERY WOMAN has been a SETTINGS babe at one point.”
I understand what a “settings babe” means, but “EVERY WOMAN” is where I have a problem.
Because yes, plenty babes have had that era where any invitation was “I’m coming.” Free food, free drinks, nice venue and pictures for the gram? Omo, attendance confirmed.
But every woman? Abeg.
Some women have always had work, business, school, family responsibilities or simply no interest in attending every party because there’s small chops and a photographer waiting. Invited or uninvited, they don't care.
“Many women have been settings babes” I can believe that.
“Every woman has been one” abeg, shift. Whoo did the census?
Some Nigerian families are not even waiting for bride price anymore before they start giving you responsibilities.
My younger sister went to meet her boyfriend’s family and came back with a Christmas duty roster and I am still trying to understand what actually happened.
She has been dating this guy for two years, so he invited her today to his family house for Sunday lunch. Everything was going smoothly until the discussion changed to plans for december.
Her boyfriend's elder sister brought out a printed sheet of paper and placed it on the dining table.
With a smile she turned to my sister and said “Since you’re the quiet type, we’ve assigned you kitchen prep and cooking for 14 people from December 23rd to 26th.”
My sister thought she was joking.
Then the woman added:
“And Tolu, will handle the New Year party because she’s better at cocktails and event planning.”
Tolu?! Her boyfriend’s EX.
My sister looked at her boyfriend, expecting him to say something.
This man simply took a sip of water and whispered:
“Babe, just agree. Tolu is really better at planning events, so it makes sense.”
My sister said she suddenly lost her appetite.
Personally, I would have asked for my own copy of the duty roster and checked where they wrote “fiancée.”
This is the part people are missing. A quote tweet isn't something you owe someone simply because they asked.
I can see your tweet, like it, even agree with it, and still have nothing meaningful to add. A quote requires my own thought, experience or perspective.
Support shouldn't become a debt ledger where “I quoted you, so you must quote me.” Genuine engagement happens when you actually have something to contribute, not because someone demanded it.
@Themrbachelor 1. I am not ready mentally.
2. I am currently not in any relationship.
3. Am still building my career.
4. I am not emotionally ready
5.
6.
It seems the odds are not in my favour today because I walked into my aunt’s house for a document and almost walked out engaged.
I branched at her place after church to drop off something my mum sent her. When i got there, she was with 2 of her friends who came to visit her.
I had met them several time at our family functions. We were discussing and laughing then my aunt called me suddenly to come to the dinning table
She served me a plate of sunday rice, stew and chicken, with chilled Zobo and told me to go ahead and eat.
At first i thought it was business as usual, immediately i finished eating, my aunt and her friends formed a semicircle around me.
She tapped me on the shoulder amd asked "Why have ypu refused to get married? You are 27 and still unmarried, and who is giving you bad counsel.”
For 30 minutes, i was just staring into thin air, regretting every actions i took today.
Many people don't know that the way you type can communicate a lot of messages you don't even realise.
Here are 10 unspoken typing rules many people don't know:
1.🔹 Typing in ALL CAPS means you're shouting.
“I DON'T KNOW IT!” 🗣️ 🗣️
Unless you deliberately want to sound like you're yelling, use normal capitalisation.
Do you know anyone who does that? Tag them if you can. Lol.
2.🔹 MiXiNg CaPs often means you're mocking someone.
“YoU tHiNk YoU kNoW eVeRyThInG.” 😏
This can also be used to imitate someone or make their statement look ridiculous.
WeLl, I kNoW tHe PeRsOn rEaDiNg ThIs dIDn'T kNoW tHiS.
3.🔹 “K” can sound dismissive.
“Okay” sounds neutral.
“K” can sound like: “I don't care.”
And you know what's worse? “kk”
4.🔹 Typing “...” can change the tone of a message.
“Okay...”
This can sound hesitant, doubtful, disappointed or passive-aggressive, depending on the context.
5.🔹Putting a word in quotation marks can signal skepticism or irony.
- He is a “professional.”
The quotation marks can imply that you don't really accept that the person is truly a professional. It can be sarcastic or express doubt.
6.🔹 “???” usually signals confusion, disbelief or impatience.
“You did what???”
While one question mark simply asks a question, several question marks otherwise add emotion.
7.🔹 “!!!” adds emphasis or excitement.
“That's amazing!” (normal excitement)
“That's amazing!!!” (extreme excitement)
8.🔹 Typing “lol” doesn't necessarily mean you're actually laughing.
It can simply soften a statement or make it sound less serious.
“That's actually crazy. lol.”
9.🔹 “...” at the end of a sentence can imply that there is more to say.
“John…”
It can sound like a warning, disappointment or “we need to talk.”
10.🔹 Leaving a message without a full stop can make it feel more casual and friendly. But ending it with a full stop can make it sound formal or cold.
“I understand you”
“I understand you.”
In casual texting, the first can feel softer or less formal. As for the second, some people interpret the full stop as a sign of annoyance or finality.
I hope you learnt something.

Imagine getting married on September 13, wearing your wedding ring, and less than two weeks later, putting 72 wraps of cocaine in your stomach to raise money.
Beyond the legal consequences, swallowing drug packets is extremely dangerous. If even one wrap leaks or ruptures inside the body, a potentially fatal cocaine overdose can occur. There is also the risk of the packet bursting, intestinal blockage, or other serious medical complications.
And this goes beyond one man. The huge quantities of opioids and other drugs being intercepted should remind us that drug trafficking is not a victimless crime. These substances can lead to addiction, respiratory depression, overdose and death, particularly with potent opioids.
Financial pressure can be temporary but a decision like this can permanently change or end a person's life.
Please be safe out there

This man converted my confidential counseling into Sunday morning "prophecy" just to make his spiritual life sound believable.
There is this church around my area that I join on wednesdays if I come back early from work.
Their mid-week service is always on point. Testimonies, laughter, prayers answered, and i love the community there.
So last week wednesday was their counseling service. I closed from work early and went. It was sporot-filled, to be honest.
So today, i decided to attend their 9:00 AM service. What happened really broke me mentally, physically, and spiritually.
While their pastor was preaching and we were all enjoing it and suddenly, the Pastor stopped, pointed directly at me in Row 4, and said: "Sister, step forward."
I was so shocked. At first, I didn't know it was me he pointed at. Not until he insisted I should come out, and some ushers came to help lead me to the alter.
The pastors then said "God is revealing to me that you are holding deep resentment against your family over a land document."
I stood there paralyzed and ashamed. Not because of any spiritual shock, but because I literally sat in his office on wednesday for counseling and told him that exact story in confidence.
As someone who lives in a shared compound, this is a good example of how small issues become big problems when pride enters the picture.
The real problem was probably never the clothes. I think one person felt her right/space had been disrespected. The other felt she had every right to make room for herself. Then the argument started, tempers rose, and before anyone could think properly, it was too late.
Meanwhile, their husbands came home, heard what happened, and went to the bar together without addressing the problem.
Sometimes, the wisest thing you can do in a disagreement is refuse to inherit somebody else’s anger because not every quarrel in the compound needs to become a family feud.
However, they need to be addressed.
If such quarrels are swept under the carpet, it might lead to something more dangerous tomorrow.
Today it is clothes on a line. Tomorrow it could be water, parking space, noise, children playing or somebody’s visitor.
Living in a shared compound requires love, understanding, and learning to address small issues calmly before they escalate
A woman had issues with her fellow woman in the compound, what really happened?
This woman washed her clothes yesterday and sprayed the clothes on the general line.
Her neighbor also washed her clothes later that morning and came to dry her clothes and everywhere was already filled up.
So she adjusted some of the clothes to enable her spray hers.
When the first woman came out she saw this and threw some of the clothes on the floor.
The 2nd woman her neighbor came out, and they started exchanging words, it got so heated that they started throwing slaps at each other until people separated them.
Their husbands came back at night and people were expecting them to fight each other. But they both went to a bar and were drinking and gisting.

@LastAnswerX Wow, she acted so brilliantly. Well, he hasn't picked my call since, I will visit him tomorrow after work, let me hear what he has to say.
The last time I visited my boyfriend, I tipped the estate security ₦5,000 because he helps me run erands whenever i visit.
Little did I didn't know I had just subscribed to their premium information service.
Last night, I called my guy around 7pm to know when he would be home so I will start coming. We had planned to spend the weekend together.
“Where are you?”
He didn't even hesitate.
“I'm still at a meeting in VI. We're rounding up soon.”
Okay.
At 8:30 PM, my estate security guard called.
“Madam…”
He lowered his voice.
“Your fine boyfriend dey gate with one yellow girl inside his car.”
I was quiet.
Then he added:
“He gave me ₦1,000 to open the gate quietly, but you gave me ₦5,000 last time. Madam, my loyalty is with you.”
I said "ok" and thanked him.
It is 9am and my boyfriend hasn't picked his call or called me back.
