September has now arrived, which means it's almost time for Welcome Week and the next year of university! For anyone unfamiliar with the process of purchasing your annual Video Games Society membership (or any society membership for that matter), check out this handy guide!
We'll have a stand at the University's open days on this coming Friday and Saturday, if you wanted to come and say hi, but otherwise, this should be the last time you'll hear from us this academic year. Thanks again for coming, and we hope you all have a great summer!
Thank you all for coming to our final in-person session (until we start up again in the autumn, that is)! Between the football and the intense heat, it was understandably a fairly quiet session, but we hope those of you who did show up had a great time as always!
If you're willing and able to come to our sessions again next year, don't forget that, for just ยฃ5, you can now renew your membership for the 2026/27 academic year via our Guild of Students webpage (linked on our Linktree)!
Our final session of the 2025/26 academic year is tomorrow (23/06)! We'll once again be in University House, Room G07, from 7pm to 10pm. We'll be ending things off with a standard variety session, so we hope to see many of you come by to enjoy our usual game selection!

We're still in need of votes in our second round of 2026/27 committee elections! You have until 7pm today (18/06) to make your voice heard on who you'd like to run VGS alongside our Chair, Treasurer and Secretary next year!
We need a few more votes by the deadline for the results to be validated, so that our election winners can help to run VGS and potentially offer more events next year. Please make sure to cast your vote so that we reach our quota!

Thank you all for coming to our penultimate in-person session last night, and for participating in our EGM! We hope you had a great time with the games we had out as always!
On that note, whether you're new to VGS, a society regular, or especially if you're a candidate in this election, know that you can renew your membership for the 2026/27 academic year via our Guild of Students webpage (linked on our Linktree) right now!

Voting for our second round of 2026/27 committee elections is now officially LIVE! You have until Thursday, June 18th at 7pm to play your part in determining who'll be running VGS alongside our Chair, Treasurer and Secretary next year!
We'll need at least 20 votes by the deadline for the results to be validated, so that the election winners can help run VGS next year as official committee members. Please make sure to cast your vote so that we can comfortably get over this line!
