Rural family doc. Lifelong Albertan. Mom to fur babies. Opinions are my own. Tweets not a substitute for medical attn. Retweets are not endorsements. She/her
Last Friday, I had to euthanize Aria b/c I couldn't afford emergency surgery for her. 💔 So now I'm left with a broken heart, her grieving littermate who's constantly searching the house for her, and a $4000 vet bill for the assessment and euthanasia.

Another Chief just shattered the silence.
And this time, the spotlight is squarely on the UCP and Danielle Smith.
While Albertans are told to “trust the government,” evidence keeps surfacing of quiet coordination, cross-border meetings, and political actors who seem far more interested in Washington than Ottawa.
Let’s be clear:
Indigenous Chiefs are now openly opposing the Alberta government not over ideology, but over sovereignty.
Why are people tied to the UCP meeting with U.S. officials behind closed doors?
Why are voices warning about foreign influence being dismissed instead of answered?
And why does Danielle Smith refuse to clearly reject the dangerous “51st state” rhetoric that keeps circling her political orbit?
This doesn’t look like leadership.
It looks like recklessness.
Canada is not a bargaining chip.
Alberta is not a side deal.
And premiers do not get to flirt with foreign agendas while hiding behind talking points.
When Chiefs speak up, it’s not noise, it’s a warning.
When whistleblowers emerge, it’s because institutions have failed.
And when a government avoids transparency, Canadians have every right to assume the worst.
Danielle Smith and the UCP owe Canadians answers.
Until they give them, suspicion is earned not imagined.
Canada first. Always.

Absolutely howling listening to Albertans call into Cross Country Checkup today to explain Alberta separatism.
Caller #1: “I want to separate because of the federal lockdowns.”
Host: “Those were imposed and enforced by your provincial government.”
Caller: dial-up modem noises
Caller #2: “It’s about bank accounts being frozen.”
Host: “So… the pandemic?”
Caller: “Well they did it during the election too.”
No. They. Didn’t.
And this is the problem.
These people skim one Facebook meme, skip the part where facts live, and suddenly think they’ve cracked Confederation.
Also: I thought nobody listened to CBC?
Weird how the entire ‘I don’t listen to CBC’ crowd somehow found the phone number, the time slot, and the courage to call in anyway.
Nothing screams “do your own research” like confidently arguing with a national broadcaster using Facebook comments as footnotes.
🚨NEW: Donald Trump has attacked USA Olympic skier Hunter Hess on social media, calling him a “real loser” for expressing concern about the murders of Alex Pretti and Renee Good by ICE.
RETWEET if you stand with Hess against Trump!

Aria is facing a life-threatening emergency, and I can't afford the surgery she desperately needs. Your support can make a difference. Please consider donating or sharing this message to help save her life. Every bit counts. Thank you! https://t.co/l6xUKUguHx

The President of the United States just called for the arrest of a sitting Governor.
This is a day I hoped I would never see in America.
I don’t care if you’re a Democrat or a Republican this is a line we cannot cross as a nation — this is an unmistakable step toward authoritarianism.
